It’s that time of year again. People are bustling about trying to find that right gift for that certain someone. Kids are excited. There’s magic in the cold winter air. Well, with that cold winter air, there is a need for coats, scarfs, gloves and ear muffs. Even though it’s cold outside, one’s fashion shouldn’t suffer. There are wonderful events happening in SL to help residents to remain warm and stylish at the same time.

Every month, I wait until the doors open to this even. It takes me awhile to get into the store. However, when I did get in, I wasn’t disappointed. I ran around the store looking at every item and making decisions as to which would become main staples. I bought many things in the event. As you can see above, I have a love for all things pink. I used to say jokingly that pink was more than a color–it’s a feeling. I wear it because the color brightens my mood. Even though it’s cold, I can find a simple reason to smile.

I will keep this post relatively short this time. My RL has been very hectic this holiday season. Unfortunately, in my picture taking, I did not make a sticky note as to which pose or destination these pictures were taken. I can only hope to improve with each post. In this post, I’m attempting to address two separate events. Whew, okay stay with me for this one. There’s going to be a lot of information and credits. One event is called Uber and the other is The Arcade Gacha. These are two of my favorite events in SL. I look forward to both of them. The theme for Uber was Vogue. You can’t be stylish without a little bit of Vogue in your life. The Arcade Gacha is a game of rares and commons from a ton of designers and builders. You put in your money hoping for that certain item, but you never know if you will get it or not. However, there’s always hope at a gacha yard sale, but that’s for another time.

First, lets talk about The Arcade Gacha. I had a friend a long time ago introduce me to The Arcade Gacha. There are so many items available. You can find anything ranging from pajamas to wearable animals. Sometimes you can even find food or odds an ends for a house. It always draws a crowd. This month was no exception. It took an entire day for me to get into the event. I talked to fellow residents who had the same problem as myself. Even thought this event can be incredibly difficult to get into, there are some wonderful items.

Now for a little bit of information, it’s a quarterly event featuring various designers and builders. Each vendor has their own gacha machine, which allows residents to receive an item–sometimes even a rare. This event has a website describing the event and vendors. There is also a shopping guide, so residents can preview the items available to them. I love Gacha events not only for the items available to people, but I enjoy watching all of the people and reading their profiles. Oh yes, I am one of those profile readers. Can you blame me? I’m always searching for a new or interesting sim to explore. Sometimes, when I’m really lucky, someone will say hello and stir up a conversation. It’s a lot of fun!

About a week or so ago, I went to another event called uber. Just like Collabor88, they also do a monthly theme. This month, it was Vogue. Uber didn’t disappoint. Designers offered residents a plethora of trendy options and fashion forward attire. I was very excited about this event. The designers didn’t let me down. They put a lot of thought into those designs–and it shows. You can find a new theme at the beginning of each month. This month, my poor linden bank hurt, but who could blame me. It was vogue. Vogue brings about images of runway. Uber brought the runway to second life. To be honest, the best way to see what they have is to go check them out. They will remain in my wardrobe and plan to wear them often. There is a website available to preview items–which will be included in this post.
