Ever have one of those days where you feel on top of the world, but you have that one little moment that makes it all disappear. Yeah, me too. So I’m posing, while looking all hot and sexy. Then…before you know it, I’m eating the runway. I became fashion road kill just like in Sex In The City, when Carrie fell during a fashion show. We all have those moments, but the only thing you can do is get up and try again. I’m pretty sure that’s a lyric to a song somewhere but I digress.
Despite my obvious mistakes, I still got up and dusted myself off and strutted my stuff down that runway–just like Carrie. Thankfully, I have good friends just like my favorite character. They definitely help to pull me through the tough stuff in life. I think it’s important to find the strength to get up when you’re down. It definitely takes bravery. So I stood up and took my pose with confidence. I exuded the class within.
I recently felt like my inworld experience had left me eating runway so to speak. But I had those good friends to pull me through. I stepped away and took a minute to gather myself. It made all the difference in the world. Moral of the story is don’t give up on yourself–inworld or the real world–even if you do become fashion road kill.
For me, I always love clothes and shopping with good people. I had a moment to spare in all that reflective thought. I went to the Cosmopolitan birthday bash, Fashion Fair, and Shiny Shabby–whew that’s a lot of events in one outfit. I purchased the jacket and shirt at the cosmopolitan fair.
