A Little Bit Naughty

 

 

One of the things that I enjoy is being a little bit naughty. Who doesn’t? Well, I’m a bit more show than actual naughty. Then again, maybe some people would beg to differ, but I digress.

It’s always fun to play up your look–sweet one day, naughty the next, or perhaps kick ass. One of the many things that I love about second life is being able to change my look and play a part.

For me, second life allows me to wear different hats (literally). I know that’s a bit of a controversial thing sometimes–to choose to be whoever or whatever you want to be. However, real life is just this huge box sometimes–to dress or act a certain way. Being here is a saving grace to those who want to express themselves.

I’ve talked about self expression many times in my blog, but it does make second life it’s own unique place. Personally, I like that freedom. I have a bit of fun with my look and hope that others do too.

To get my naughty look, I went to N21 and Cosmopolitan. Nova has some great lipstick at N21. The colors are velvety and dark. While, cosmopolitan had this really sexy dress. The hardware shines in the light, but the material is dark enough to give a hint of mystery. I highly recommend these two events.

I know that many of you are preparing for a holiday. I know the world may seem a bit sad at times, but don’t forget the many things to be thankful for. I’m thankful for the many things in my life that bring me joy–friends (especially my sl friends…thank you for being you), family, pets……chocolate. I’ll celebrate all of those wonderful things in my life with a piece of pie.

A Moment Of Silence

 

Last week, I intended to write another blog. However with the events of last week, I decided to wait a little bit before writing anything. I felt the need to step back. I was sad and angry with the rest of the world, because of the events that transpired. I won’t rehash the news. We’ve seen the reports and know what’s going on in the world. It’s in a sad state.

This blog is incredibly difficult to write. While I want to give a happy and upbeat entry, I can’t. My heart is heavy. I worry for the families, friends, and people in the world affected by senseless violence.

The only thing I can do is dedicate this picture to the lives lost and be the change in the world I want to see. I hope for a more peaceful and safer world. This picture won’t change the events. It doesn’t help a cause, but it does show someone out there that someone is thinking of them. Sometimes knowing you’re not alone is healing. I send out love and healing to those effected.

During this week, I attended two events–Kira Kira and the Kawaii project. I was able to find a new store for poses and a very pretty ethereal dress.  I recommend checking out both these events.

Sad November

As I sit here, I feel a bit sad. I once had a friend tell me that nothing lasts forever in sl and to enjoy the time you have. It was some of the best advice. Right now my sl world is a bit sad. I’ve had friends come and go. I guess this November is the season for change. Many people have left my sl world like a leaf in the breeze.

Speaking of being sad, I have some sad news. I have voluntarily left Rayne Couture. It is with a heavy heart that I made the decision to go. I started to feel my spark for my blog start to falter. It was no fault of Rayne Couture. Rather, I had decided in that moment not to have sponsors. I have my reasons. Unlike most bloggers, I really did start blogging because I simply like to write. I also like shopping in second life. So I’m going to start blogging a bit like before, but find that spark again.

This blog may be a bit short. As with life, I’m human and a bit down.  BUT, I’ll pick myself up and dust myself off–and try again. I could swear that’s a lyric from some where. Maybe someone out there will be kind enough to remind me of the song.

My clothes are from this month’s collabor88. The theme is autumn blues (which I can definitely relate). So if you’re feeling a bit down and need a pick me up….head on over. I did. The leggings, and sweater are from Erratic, which is a company that I’ve come to love and adore. My scarf is from Moon Amore. The owl is animated and so is the scarf.
