I saw this quote and thought it was appropriate. I stepped away from the virtual world. I even went off the grid to shut off (literally) all the noise. I think it’s important to take time for yourself, when the world becomes too much. It gives us time to breathe, a new perspective, and revitalization. I highly recommend taking a break from gadgets of all kinds–computers, cell phones, and tablets. I left all those things alone for three days. I was unreachable. I have to say…. I feel healthier for doing so.

Okay, now we should talk about all the exciting things going on around the grid. This will be the first in many posts. When I came back from my break, I returned to a shopping fest. Uber opened a few days ago. The arcade also opened. There’s also faMESHed. I bought things from each of these events. My poor wallet is screaming at me, but I gave it chocolate to calm it down. I look forward to blogging about them and discussing all of my latest adventures.

If you love makeup, then Uber is the shopping event for you. I bought quite a bit. The eyeshadow in the above photo is from itGirls. This is fast becoming one of my favorites. The lipstick is from Izzie’s. I always had a soft spot for Izzie’s. I really enjoy buying there products. I even enjoy visiting their store. I always seem to find something new and shiny. Speaking of new makeup, they are also selling new makeup for the Catwa head at their mainstore . I bought a bunch of it. I couldn’t refuse. What can I say? I love all things makeup!
