Whew, two weeks really does go by very quickly, when you’re moving your whole life into a new place. I needed every second of those two weeks too. As many know, I took a hiatus to uproot my life into my first home. I’m very lucky to feel like my home is really home. So I am very happy about my move. I still have a few things that need to be put away, so please be patient with my random afk’s inworld. BUT, I have to say, it’s good to be back. I was very excited to come back and take this photo. I’ve been itching to start taking pictures again on a regular basis.

Speaking of pictures, I took this photo on my land in a little backdrop from Sayo. This may be one of my favorite backdrops. I didn’t purchase it right away, but I always see pictures with it. I broke down and purchased it. Crimson dreams by Sayo is the wonderful backdrop used in the photo above, and you can find it at their main store.

Now, if you want the mistress outfit, or lingerie, you have to look no further than the epiphany. I absolutely adore this event and I made sure to go shopping. I was not going to miss it for the world. I also spent a small fortune there, so be prepared to bring your lindens. I took out a small loan against my mesh house, just to buy everything–not really, but I did spend a lot.

In the above photo, I’m wearing Eliavah’s Serenight Gacha from the epiphany. The dress, harness, hat, and leggings are all part of this gacha set. The set also has hair as a prize, but it is not feature here. I have to say Eliavah’s textures are amazing. Now onto Alisha’s outfit, the blond, she’s wearing the rare lingerie set by Caboodle called Spring Lover. The set is absolutely gorgeous. It includes the panties and bra–for the rare. The blindfold is also one of the available prizes, but is not part of the rare set.

As you can tell, I had a lot of fun taking this picture. I always believe that the more fun you have with a photo, the more it shows. I found this quote and I couldn’t agree more. You have to be happy doing what you’re doing, otherwise why do it… I’ve been blogging for a few years now and I enjoy it more now than a few years ago. I enjoy the ability to take an outfit and interpret it–and creating the scene to display it. But what I enjoy the most is sharing my photos with others. I’ve had an outpouring of love for my photos lately. And I would just like to thank my followers on flickr and the followers of my blog. Thank you for sticking with me through all my moody, weird, and happy posts. It really does touch my heart to see residents appreciate my work. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me. ♥♥♥

Before I end this blog, I want to put love out into the world, because I need the same love back. Sometimes we give people what we can because we know one day that we’ll need it in return. I believe the universe gives you what you need–maybe not what you want, but definitely what you need. I’ve seen it countless times. I think it’s important to put love out into the world because we all need love and a sense of home.

Before moving into my house, there was an owl mat at my front door. I’m going to miss my neighborhood owl that would visit me every year, after the harsh winter. Yet some how, that symbol of the owl, I know that I’m finally home. (Random thought, I know).

I hope everyone finds their “home”. When I say home, I don’t always mean a building where you put your stuff. Home is the place where you’re happy with friends, family, pets, and extended family. It is the people who make a home. Even in second life, it is the people who stand by your side in the worst and best of times. We are all lucky to find that home, even virtually. I’m truly happy for others who find that soft spot in the virtual world… and in real life. You should enjoy it for it’s one of the best things in life.

A few months ago, I thought about people in the virtual world. It’s kind of wonderful to know that there are so many people that roam second life. I used to be kind of possessive, when it came to people. But one night, I thought about how wonderful it is that other people exist in the world. So if anything happened, there’s a community of people to surround yourself with. Like if we leave this world, there are others to comfort the people left behind. When your slated for surgery, you think about those things. I’m lucky for that epiphany. It has been the best lesson in this virtual space. We all need people in life. We aren’t born alone. We shouldn’t deal with hardships alone.

Okay, this is way longer and introspective than I intended. However, I just want to put love out into the world. Because it really is the best part of living. So I hope you have a blast at the epiphany. Bring a friend. Laugh a lot. Enjoy every second of the good moments in all worlds. I truly wish you a happy, and healthy day. Give Your Heart A Break

Before heading into this blog post, I want to say that I am currently moving in real life and I will be taking some time off from sl–to hook up my cable, have a moving company deal with my stuff, and all the lovely things that come with a move. I’m excited for this move. I’m happy about this move and it has been a long time coming. However this post is a bit somber. Despite all of the new beginnings in my life, I’m also facing a lot of stuff….some things really scary and I do not always have the support system that I’d like to have (But I am one strong bitch and I will make it through). I will have surgery also in the next month or so, depending on when my surgeon is available to operate. I’ve had some heart breaking moments in second life and real life. I’ve pushed people away. I have a lot going on, so I wanted to talk about healing. I think that every person could stand to hear a post on healing. We all go through things in life that break us.

Healing really does take courage and sometimes you have to dig to the deepest part of your soul to find that courage. I’ve gone through months of healing over so many things. I dug so deep to find the strength to overcome things. I still have bad days sometimes, where sadness is the hardest thing that I deal with. I have a lot that puts me through emotional roller coasters. I think everyone does at some point in life. I always joke that if life was easy… it would be called happy fun time. BUT, alas, it is not. Being shattered has had its impact on me, as well as others.

My heart was crushed, a lot it seems. I went through a lot of heart ache in a very short time period. I felt in pieces. I was sad. I wanted to crawl under the covers and hide. I was broken in every single way a person can actually feel broken and let down. I was let down by the actions of others. I was shattered. Sometimes when the pieces scatter all over the place, you have to find a way to pick them up and make sense of it. Sometimes you have to do the best that you can, so more pieces of yourself don’t fall apart.

I am still picking up pieces of myself every day and sometimes I still have a piece of me shatter. But I have the courage deep in my pockets to want to heal. I want to feel whole. Some days are easier than others. Pain can shatter you in every way possible. It shatters a sense of who you think that you are. It shatters the image of self. It shatters the very essence of your dreams at times. It hurts right down to your soul–the physical and emotional pain. The struggle is real. But life, choices, and circumstances can also shatter a person.

So you really have to be courageous in wanting to heal, because life sometimes creates situations that you need to heal from–while you’re still healing from something else. It takes courage to dig in your pockets for strength. I am still digging through my pockets for strength, every single day. I think most people do. We’re all fighting a battle that no one knows anything about, so we are all healing from something in life.

Be strong and know that you’ll be able to find the strength that you need. And when your pockets are empty, people always seem to give you some of their courage and strength. Give your heart a break because your heart needs one. You should curl up with a good book, shop, eat, and laugh, because those things fill your pockets with the strength to heal and give you the courage to see that life is full of potential. And know you’re loved by those who give the courage to heal. I also want to add that sometimes healing means doing things for yourself–buying a home and caring for that home (my experience). Sometimes you have to rebuild what was once broken–and that’s okay.

Whew, okay, now I can talk about events on the grid. I’ve gone to a few–Collabor88, Pose Fair, and Shoetopia. My stockings and heals are from Reign at Shoetopia. They are sold separately. My shorts, shirt, blazer, and hair can be found at this month’s round of collabor88. Finally, my pose is from Bauhaus Movement. I love this company an awful lot and I bought their fatpack of poses, which isn’t something that I usually do, but I really love their poses. It gives me a lot of options to be creative.

I am officially taking a blogging hiatus to deal with my real life move. I will only be gone about two weeks, but I will be back. Also due to being a sensitive person who is scared to go into surgery at this time, I am asking for patience with other residence at this time. Thank you.

Silly Picture Day

After a couple of tough days, I decided to feed my soul with some laughter. So I stepped away from the computer and enjoyed Easter. I even had a few laughs. It really is the best form of medicine. I hope all of my followers and readers had a wonderful Easter and a wonderful spring break.

Speaking of spring break, this past week, I had the pleasure of going to the pose fair a little early to view the merchandise and do a little bit of shopping. I found this wonderful pose and backdrop by Foxcity. I also purchased the backdrop as well. After buying a few poses, I headed over to some events.

One of those events included Uber, one of my favorite events on the grid. I purchased some new eyes and this beautiful dress by Dead Dollz. I also bought new eyes by Buzzeri. I used to buy eyes from them all the time, so I’m really happy and excited to see them participating in events.

Before I forget, there is one event open on the gird that is one of my favorites–Pose Fair. If you like taking pictures, this event is for you. So many pose creators participate in the Pose Fair. Anddddddd….. this event is now going to be quarterly. I’m really excited this event will occur more often, because I am always looking for new poses. I hope you too find some great poses this round.
