I’ve been meaning to write this blog post for the longest time, but I’ve been avoiding it a little bit. This will be one of my last blog posts before my hiatus. And I really don’t want to go on hiatus for surgery, BUT I do have to take one unfortunately. Writing this post and potentially my next one are the last blog posts, until October. If I feel well, I may sneak one in there, but I will be away recuperating.

Before going on my hiatus, I made sure to visit Collabor88 and this is one of my last posts for the Birthday extravaganza. This post is going to be long with credits, so I won’t go into every designer featured in the picture above, but there are A LOT of products from this round of Collabr88. I love when an event is filled with such wonderful items that fit together brilliantly. I really have to hand it to the creators. You really did make some really great items. All I can do is say thank you for helping me create this picture. It was so much fun to pretend to be taking a safari. I can not stress enough how great Collabor88 is. It really does remain to be one of my favorite events on the grid. The event is only open for a few more weeks, so get in there and get your last few items. I’m going to apologize for this blog being so short. I’ve had a very long week preparing for everything and I am a little tired. I am sorry how short this blog is. There may be one last post about the Genus head. I’d like to do a little review. I bought the head and new skin… I gave myself a whole new makeover which is something that I don’t do very often, but I was very intrigued with the Genus’s head. I hope to get a short blog post out before my hiatus. If I have time, I will definitely try to get that out.

I like to go into a little shell and be a hermit and make music for a while. Delta Goodrem

There’s no doubt in my mind that this is my time to be a hermit. I’ve stayed on my land inworld, working on creating ideas for my blog. In real life, I got lost in a sea of music and books–anything creative. Sometimes being a hermit takes the edge off of living. It allows us to escape into our own little private bubble. And I needed to wrap myself in a bubble, allowing myself to laugh as much as possible and smile at the best things in life. I buried myself in the endless whole of netflix comedians. I have to say, being a hermit didn’t suck. Actually, it was quite relaxing.

Yet there comes a time, when you have to interact with the world. You have to pop the bubble that you live in, because people aren’t designed to be alone all the time. We’re social creatures, even if it means only spending time with others sometimes. I felt bad for needing space, because not everyone understood the silence. People take it personal. I had many reasons for wanting to close myself off this week, getting lost in my work inworld or spending time in real life.

This past week, I was very busy with real life and I’m going to take a brief second to talk about my real life–only because it effects my time inworld. I’ve waited all summer for a surgery date, but I had to get scans and tests done, before I could even think about booking it. I finally have a date set for surgery. Since I have a date for surgery and now all the details to go forward, my blogging will be sporadic after September 10th. I want to thank my sponsors for their patience and understanding at this time. This was my main reason for needing time alone. I’ve had a week of calling family and friends, giving them all the details. It has been a bit draining, so I needed time alone in all worlds.

Since I felt like a hermit, I decided that this was the perfect time to create a picture of this card in the major arcana. I can relate to it so much this week. It has a simple meaning. “The Hermit Tarot card suggests that you are in a phase of introspection where you are drawing your attention and focus inward and looking for answers within. You have a strong need to understand, not just at the surface level but to really know why life is the way it is. The Hermit reflects that your consciousness has moved inward and you now realize that the truth and understanding you seek is within yourself and not in the distractions of the outside world. This is a perfect time to take a step back from your day-to-day life and deeply contemplate your motivations, personal principles and values.” I definitely needed time alone to recharge my batteries and gain perspective.

As I was withdrawing from the world and evaluating everything, I decided to create a set that reflected my current feelings. So I looked no further than Collabor88 and Equal10. There are so so many items in this picture that are from this round at C88. I’m not going to go through every item, because this blog would be very very long. BUT I will make a quick mention of Equal10. A friend and designer created these cute whimsical bunny ears with flowers–Eliavah at Equal10. They are so so cute. I knew right away that I had to be a “bad” bunny. I also want to mention romp. My mask is from cubic cherry at romp. I’ve had a whirl wind of a week with a lot of surprises. First and foremost, I’d like to thank Utopia for adding me to their bloggers group. I was completely taken by surprise and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity. I hope that I can make Utopia@Design proud. Again, thank you so much for adding me to your blogging family.

Okay, now I have to talk about Collabor88’s birthday bash! As many know, I absolutely adore C88. I’ve been having a love affair with this event, since I started blogging. I look forward to the birthday bash every year. It remains to be one of my favorite events on the grid.

So it is my pleasure to say, this round is ridiculously fabulous. I should just hand over the designers my wallet now. There’s just so many wonderful items that I will be blogging this event a bit this month, but some of my favorite items are from this event. Every year, I find myself wearing things over and over again from the birthday round, so it really isn’t an event to be missed.

The picture above was inspired by Eliavah’s flower hairpin and dress. You can find this beautiful dress at Collabor88. The hairpin is available at Okinawa Summer event. This beautiful pin is called nightbloom. Her dress at collabor88 goes by the name Rafflesia. It’s really lovely. I really wanted to be an elf for a day in this cute little dress. I felt so soft and feminine in this piece. The Okinawa summer event runs until the 31st and you can find this wonderful hairpin there. I have to say that I really love this hairpin and I’m probably going to use it in my hair for another outfit. It’s just so pretty and … I am a sucker for a nice flower. My shoes are at Collabor88. They’re by Pure Poison and they’re called Haley sandals. I really love gladiator type sandals. I have been hoping for awhile that someone would make sandals like these. I will be using these again….shamelessly. I bought sandals like these so long ago, but I can no longer wear them, since they were made pre-mesh, so I was very very very happy to see these. I won’t stop gushing about them–and again you can find these at C88.

Moving right along, there’s so many items in this picture that it deserves two paragraphs…or more :D. My ears are fantasy elf ears and they’re from mandala. I can’t recommend them enough to people. They remain to be some of my favorite items that I use. You can find them at the mainstore. Let’s talk hair for a second. Can we just give little bones a round of applause for her work. If she makes hair, I’m going to buy it. I just hand over my cash willingly and happily. This hair is also available at Collabor88 and is called king. It comes with a styling hud. I have to say styling huds are one of my favorite things that designers create. It gives customers options, when it comes to styling and personal preference. Now onto another company that I use all the time. I’m addicted to them and I have been, since I started. blogging.

On the bottom of the picture, there is an ice cream cone filled with flowers. This is by the wonderful ++half deer++. It’s an older release, but… I really love this item, so we’re including it. It has the appropriate name of Ice Cream flowers. I just want to wear this with every outfit. It’s so dreamy! BUT, the pink and purple crystals in the background, those ARE from this round of collabor88 and.. by …you guessed it–half deer. They go by the name dreamsugar crystal. I knew right away that these deserved to be in a fantasy picture. There’s a bug at the bottom of my screen. It’s from Azoury and called endless butterfly. There are rigged and non rigged versions included. My carriage is from {anc}. Just like half deer, I have so many items from {anc}. I happily pay this company for their products. Putting {anc} together in a photo always creates something truly special. And yes, I’m totally gushing about them. I make no apologies. Totally adore them. This iron carriage can be found at Collabor88 as well.

The flowers are by {anc} and the grass is by Hayabusa Design. I really love grass that sways, like it’s blowing in the wind. Again, {anc} created these star flakes. they’re animated and gorgeous. I found them in my inventory and it’s the first time that I’ve used them. I’m going to use these again too. They just feel special. Mishmish made a baby winged unicorn awhile ago. It’s so cute though. I had to use it. My unicorn is a pet and meant to be worn, but I stole a moment to include her in this picture.

To close this blog, I want to talk about the inspiration for this picture. Really, my inspiration came from {anc}’s carriage and Half Deer’s crystals. They both seemed like something out of a fairy tale. So I knew right away that The Magician was the card for this series. As I started to edit this picture, it became obvious which card the picture should represent. There was just something magical about it. The Magician card in the major arcana means that “the revelations [in your life}  are best applied to the pragmatic and physical aspects, rather then the ephemeral or theoretical.” This is so incredibly significant for me. Some times you go through life and things don’t make sense. Then, life gives you the chance to understand those confusing moments in a practical way–making sense of life.

I’ve made a lot of choices in my life, which turned out to be the right answer for me. Sometimes we have to wander to understand where we are going–or need to go. I’m thankful for my path–with all the smiles and tears. Like that one quote by lady gaga, I like the good days and the bad days, because it means that I’m alive. We make sense of it, when it matters.

I’ve strayed from taking these types of pictures, but I can’t help myself. I do enjoy taking the more seductive photos every once in awhile. And it has been awhile, since taking these types of photos. I would be lying, if I said that I didn’t embrace them. If I’m going to talk about this sexy picture, then I am going to bring up a few things–the fetish fair and the subject of desire.

Desire is a subject that makes me think time and time again. It maybe one of my favorite things to talk about, because every person desires something. It’s always interesting to see and hear what people want. Some people get it. Some people never do. And some people keeping dancing with that devil desire, always dancing towards obtaining their heart’s desire, but never allowing themselves the pleasure.

When I think about desire, there is only one name that comes to mind. It is the name of the very person that helped to inspire my avatar, which is…. Dita Von Teese. I adore her because she makes no apologies for her interests. Her whole being plays into the very concept of desire. Dita Von Teese could literally get me to do whatever she wanted… But who has the time to go into that really–nor do I really want to go into my celebrity crush.

What does desire have to do with.. The Fetish Fair. My answer is simple…. everything. It has everything to do with desire. We buy the clothes, the furniture, and the accessories, hoping to get something that we desire. You can’t have sex without a little bit of desire. They go hand in hand….. bad pun? Maybe, but it’s true.

The Fetish Fair remains to be one of my favorite events, because it helps me to embody the one person that I pretend to be— the ever alluring, addicting, and intoxicating muse that is Dita Von Teese. My own desire for a mysterious sex pot helped to create me. She is a big part of my SL in some ways. My favorite makeup is always a cat eye and red lip. My favorite clothes are always lingerie. And my favorite toys… well… for that you’d have to get to know me better. BUT I picked up a few new ones at The Fetish Fair, which I’m willing to talk about.

So this is the part where I go into that lovely outfit featured in this photo. My lingerie is from Ricielli, My collar is from Avanti.  My hair came from Limerence and my boots are from Utopia@Design. My boots were a little expensive, but they come with texture and color options, which make it work it …in my opinion. The cage, candelabra, and bucket full of useful objects is from Backbone. Finally, the chair was created by a company called Also Known As. I want to mention this company, because I’ve never bought anything from them before. And I really do like this chair–enough to buy two versions of it. All of these items are from.. well you guessed it.. The Fetish Fair. Please head over there and check it out. Okay, first and for most… 3,000 followers!!!!! Say whaattttttttt? I can not believe that so many people follow me. BUT I will say that I’m thankful for every follow, like, and words of praise. Truly thank you for supporting me and my work. I am truly touched. I really can’t believe the amount of people who follow me. I can’t stop smiling today. I’m in shock. So one last time, thank you everyone truly ♥♥♥♥.

Now that we got THAT out of the way, I have to talk about Uber. I loved this round and I just kept on buying things, as you can see by this picture. I bought this really great backdrop by Foxes, Safia–little get away and cactus is also from Foxes. It really is more than a backdrop. It’s a great little cabana. Foxes is also selling the chairs and the bird on the post. The blond is also wearing a bikini from Foxes. Their entire stall is absolutely amazing. I fell in love with everything and I HAD to buy it. Now onto the clothes, Tee*fy made this great skirt and there are a ton of color options available, which pairs nicely with my cami from The Secret Store–also at Uber. I also bought the earings from Mandala. And finally, I bought this picnic set up by peaches, ….which… you guessed it–are also available at Uber. It’s not an event to miss.

In addition to some really great clothes and furniture from Uber, I also headed over to Lelutka to buy their new ice cream and bubble gum items, which are interactive with your avi. The ice cream leaves behind some of the sweet treat on your lips, for you messy eaters out there. The bubble gum pops all over your face, after blowing a huge bubble. I had to have these two items and bought them right away. Lelutka also released two new interactive items–the cotton candy and lollipop at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair. It’s not an event that I usually go to, but a few friends of mine let me in on the new items that were released. As soon as I found out, I had to buy it right away. I really do enjoy these items, and I recommend them. I only have one issue with the ice cream, which is that it does seem to go into my skull, when I eat it. As for the rest, I’ll have to get back to you in another blog post.

Finally, I chose this quote because of the amount of people following me. I’m in awe and disbelief. If you had asked me if I would ever get to this point as a photographer years ago, I would have told you no way. But it really does show you that if you stick with something and try really hard to improve over time…. you can and will improve—and learn a few things about yourself and your craft. I’ve also been really vocal about having health problems. Success at blogging despite all the days dealing with my health issues, well I can tell you it’s a reminder to continue in life–no matter what difficulties that I may face. Sometimes you have to do what you can and keep trying. It will be worth it, in the end. I use my photography as a personal reminder what ambition can achieve. You never know what you’re capable, until you try–in second life or real life.

The feeling of accomplishment with my flickr led me to my next card in the major arcana–the chariot. “The Chariot card is connected to your natural drive and determination, and can indicate an upcoming victory. This card reminds you that your greatest successes won’t come through limited thinking — when you combine the knowledge of your mind with that of your heart and spirit, you are an unstoppable force.” It’s true. If you keeping going and never let your determination falter, you will succeed. I hope after reading this point you go out in second life or real life with a fiery drive to get to your goals–whatever they may be.
