There are so many wonderful events all coming out right now. I’ve been a busy bee lately, setting up this wonderful set and having a lot of fun. So I’m not going to procrastinate… I  will get into what everyone wants to know… where did you get xyz.

My whole set, except for the pose is from one of my favorite events in August.. You guessed it. Collabor88’s birthday bash. I love love love this event. I really can’t gush about it enough. As I write this, I still have things to buy from this event–that is just how good it is this round. There are many many many items in this photos, so I’m going to leave it to the credits. If you see something that you just have to have, please look at my credits down below.

This blog is a little short. But I’m getting in the swing of things. And I have another event to talk about.. which is the wonderful hair fair. It opened and … I have some hair from a not so well known company or maybe it wasn’t well known to me :). But I am really excited to share with you my latest haul. As you guessed already, I’ve got some more wonderful items from Collabor88 to share with you and even a steamy pose from this latest round of pose fair. I want to say the theme of stardust may be one of my favorite themes so far with all the birthday bashes. I bought a lot of stuff from this Collabor88 round. It’s really a wonderful round, if you get a chance, check it out with a friend.

I want to take a brief moment and talk about this photo. I’m a big fan of the show Lucifer. Okay I’m totally addicted to it. I may have bought some books that have similar characters. Anyway…. when I saw these really these gorgeous wings from Yokai.. I bought them right away and knew exactly what I was going to do with them. And I saw this quote and new that it was perfect. Hopefully, you find a little bit of sinfulness at pose fair, but that’s for another blog and for another time.

So I wanted to type a quick blog towards the end of the week. There has been so many great events with some really great clothing and furniture. I just had to jump right into it and snap a quick picture of my haul.

I went to three different events for this picture: kinky, collabor88, and FaMESHed. Okay okay, okay, lets talk about this really sexy dress. Eliavah made this hawt number for Fameshed. I don’t want to take this dress off at all. It’s just that good. And the hair.. yes the hair.. omg.. Sigh. I’m kind of in love with it. Lamb made this sultry number and I knew right away that it would pair really nicely with the Eliavah dress. The hair is available at Collabor88 and again.. it’s by Lamb. The mannequin in the background is by Backbone and you can find this naughty piece of decor at Kinky.  The furniture and skybox are from anxiety. It feels incredibly rich and polished. Finally, my quote, I couldn’t resist. I felt hot and sizzling. I agree completely with this quote. I really could go on and on about how sexy this outfit is. There’s a dangerous slit that shows your legs… and even gets a bit cheeky. I’m ready to pursue and seduce in this number. So what are you waiting for? Get out there, spend some linden, bring a friend, and enjoy the shopping trip.

This month has just flown by. Today is the last day of the first month in the new year. It has started with challenges, unexpected sad surprises, and a search for a hope. Or at least.. that’s the beginning of my new year. But as they say…life is a journey. From every hardship and life’s hard lessons, we gain strength and new inspiration. Dare I say it.. we even find strength from within and hope. Life is definitely a journey… so is second life.

I was reminded to practice self love in the midst of life whirling around me. I felt like a scene directly out of Lucifer, as he escapes a mental institution and all hell breaks loose. But in the end, he got out unscathed. Life is kind of like that at times, you see everything go up in flames, but somehow things do work out. It’s surviving and sometimes.. if all you can do is survive, well honey.. you’ve done a great job.

I’ve been away from blogging due to some family things that have gone on in my real life. I had a friend whose house almost burned down today. And I had a very tragic loss for my family..not a death, but a loss nevertheless. So my blogging took a very back seat to tending to life swirling around me. I’ve also gone through my own hurdles. I’ve leaned on people who are close to me to get through this month of insanity.

And I had a friend remind me about self love. She reminded me that it’s okay to take care of yourself, if things just get to be too much. Even in a virtual world, it is so important to step away from things that become too much dot com. And things were definitely too much this month. So I stepped away. I danced the night away virtually with friends. I went shopping. I watched funny stand up shows on netflix and I found my laughter despite the chaos. It’s important to laugh and smile. It really is the most healing thing that you can do for yourself. I also found my voice.

Sometimes distraction can also be a wonderful tool in self love–doing things that you enjoy. We all know that a good photography contest is just the ticket. There’s a sim called valium and they are holding one really great contest. All you have to do is visit their sim, take a photo, and enter it. You must be a member of the sim, be clothed, enter the photo in their flickr pool, and include the LM–as well as the proper labels. Details can be found here valium

I love the beauty of this sim, and knew right away what I wanted to wear. My outfit is from Collabor88. It’s by zenith and completely cozy. My hair is also from collabor88 and by Foxy. My completely fabulous boots are from Utopia. They have just been released in the store and in the marketplace. I really love them. I so want to wear them all the time with all my cozy outfits. You will have to hurry though to Collabor88 for the dress jacket combo. There will be a new round starting February 8th and the contest at Valium ends February 3rd. I’ve strayed from taking these types of pictures, but I can’t help myself. I do enjoy taking the more seductive photos every once in awhile. And it has been awhile, since taking these types of photos. I would be lying, if I said that I didn’t embrace them. If I’m going to talk about this sexy picture, then I am going to bring up a few things–the fetish fair and the subject of desire.

Desire is a subject that makes me think time and time again. It maybe one of my favorite things to talk about, because every person desires something. It’s always interesting to see and hear what people want. Some people get it. Some people never do. And some people keeping dancing with that devil desire, always dancing towards obtaining their heart’s desire, but never allowing themselves the pleasure.

When I think about desire, there is only one name that comes to mind. It is the name of the very person that helped to inspire my avatar, which is…. Dita Von Teese. I adore her because she makes no apologies for her interests. Her whole being plays into the very concept of desire. Dita Von Teese could literally get me to do whatever she wanted… But who has the time to go into that really–nor do I really want to go into my celebrity crush.

What does desire have to do with.. The Fetish Fair. My answer is simple…. everything. It has everything to do with desire. We buy the clothes, the furniture, and the accessories, hoping to get something that we desire. You can’t have sex without a little bit of desire. They go hand in hand….. bad pun? Maybe, but it’s true.

The Fetish Fair remains to be one of my favorite events, because it helps me to embody the one person that I pretend to be— the ever alluring, addicting, and intoxicating muse that is Dita Von Teese. My own desire for a mysterious sex pot helped to create me. She is a big part of my SL in some ways. My favorite makeup is always a cat eye and red lip. My favorite clothes are always lingerie. And my favorite toys… well… for that you’d have to get to know me better. BUT I picked up a few new ones at The Fetish Fair, which I’m willing to talk about.

So this is the part where I go into that lovely outfit featured in this photo. My lingerie is from Ricielli, My collar is from Avanti.  My hair came from Limerence and my boots are from Utopia@Design. My boots were a little expensive, but they come with texture and color options, which make it work it …in my opinion. The cage, candelabra, and bucket full of useful objects is from Backbone. Finally, the chair was created by a company called Also Known As. I want to mention this company, because I’ve never bought anything from them before. And I really do like this chair–enough to buy two versions of it. All of these items are from.. well you guessed it.. The Fetish Fair. Please head over there and check it out. The Devil

I’ve wanted to do a picture depicting a fight with pain. It’s something that a lot of people live with every single day and I am part of the group who deals with pain on a daily basis. There are some seriously strong souls in the world who deal with this struggle every single day. It’s not easy.. In my own personal journey, I’ve learned to really look towards those people who struggle like myself or worse with a high amount of respect. They’ve taught me to be a better person and really how to deal with my own evil demons that I fight every day.

In the major arcana, the devil card represents the negative forces that restrain you. It’s the fears, addictions, and impulses in each of us. We have the power to over come them, but the devil controls us–when we allow him to. Much like this card, pain can control our emotions, when we allow it to. We have the power to breath and take a minute for ourselves. We have the power to over come pain by allowing positivity in our life, recognizing the pain but not giving it the power to control our emotions and behaviors. It’s easy to lash out at people, when you’re in pain. It takes strength to walk away, when people upset you, rather then unleashing your anger on the people around you. The people who are around you will ultimately be the ones that you’ll need on your hardest of days. So you can’t let the devil completely beat you, rather you have to fight its power with your own. And I am lucky that medical intervention may be able to help me fight.

I’m lucky in the sense that I have a chance at beating my pain with surgery. I’m bringing this up because I will be scheduling surgery soon. And I will be away from my blog for a little while. I will inform everyone of that information, as soon as it is available to me. But for now, in the evening, I am usually fighting the good fight against it.

In the past few months or so, my own pain has knocked me down. It has stolen my time. It has stolen my emotions. It has stolen me completely. In the above photo, it represents the evil that is pain. And I am fighting it in a losing battle. The thing about chronic pain is that sometimes you don’t beat it. You just call a draw at the point of exhaustion. Then you wake up again and deal with it all over again. It’s draining, frustrating, and infuriating. I do not wish physical pain on my worst enemy. It’s bigger than I am. It blinds me to reason and steals my voice in the haze of medications. I could never put into words the true evil that pain is. It is indeed a fight with the devil.

Every person fights their own demons. This one is mine. It is second life in which that I can artistically create an image that depicts exactly how I feel. That girl is me.. that skeleton is my own hell on Earth. I know that many, many, many people go through there own battles to include pain. In banding together, we lose the empty room and find others just like ourselves. This picture is dedicated to every person with their own demons who fight them every single day. You are not invisible. And… you’re not fighting alone. My picture doesn’t show the people behind me, fighting alongside me. BUT, they are there. Keep fighting the good fight.

Now to help me fight the good fight, some very wonderful designers created some fantastic things. My skeleton is from a previous gacha by clueless. My dress is by Eliavah, which is available at the crystal heart fair. I waited to blog this for a little while because getting into the event was difficult. I really do love this outfit. My stockings are from Blueberry and my boots are available at !Rebel Hope’s mainstore. Finally, my hair is from stealthic, which goes by the awesome name of Sensual. Before I end this, I want people to know that I take drugs in the evening. My pain has increased. So I’m asking everyone to please have patience with me. My thought process is slowed and I’m not always at my best in the evening unfortunately.  Thank you.

Hello everyone!! I hope everyone in the States are planning a fun filled fourth of July. Normally, my blog posts are usually a bit quick, but I had to take some time for myself this past week–one to prepare for the holiday and second I needed rest. So I do apologize for my blog coming a little later in the day, than I intended.

This past week has been a wonderful whirl wind of second life for me. I really couldn’t be any more happier than I am right now. I owe that to the people around me. It’s nice to be able to come into this virtual space on a rough day and have your spirit immediately lifted.

Unfortunately, I do want to reiterate that my health hasn’t been perfect, so blogging has not been at the forefront of my brain. I’ve had to take it easy the last few weeks. I’m still making blog posts, but they’re just a little slower than I’d like them to be. We all do what we can.

BUT, the grid has so many wonderful events from uber to famished.. to even rewind. I know this past round of rewind was great. I wan’t able to blog it quick enough, but it’s also an event to explore. Speaking of Uber and Famished….. The blazer, shorts, corset, and even hair come from uber. My sunglasses and rings are available at Fameshed. I really love all of these items together. Together, they help to create something truly special.

When taking this picture, I felt like a drug lord, so I came up with a little blurb with a backstory. I always think that pictures should convey a story or a feeling. It should make you feel something. If pictures don’t give you any sort of feeling, then I haven’t done my job :D.

I had so much fun during that shoot. In the past, I role played a female gangster.. I had a lot of fun with it, so it’s nice to be able to capture something that I portrayed inworld. Second life provides me with an artistic escape into my own thoughts, desires, and playfulness. So this picture means a lot to me.

Continuing on with that role play inspired picture, I picked The Fool from the tarot card deck to represent this particular gangster fueled picture. Even gangsters have to realize that you can’t fool people all the time. In the end, you will be found out and on the run. Yet in the end, running has to end eventually. So I deemed myself a fool on the run with cash and clothes at hand.
