I haven’t been around much in the month of October, unfortunately I have been dealing with medical stuff. Trust me, I would rather be online, but sometimes you just have to take care of real life first. This was definitely one of those cases. BUT, I have a few things that I’d like to blog. Everything you see in this photo is available at collabor88 but you have to hurry since it closes on the 6th. The back drop is from foxcity. The bats are from half deer and so is the coffin shelf. Like On Vaca, Lets ALL Go

And I sure do need a little bit of chocolate. It’s that time of year again–chocolates, flowers, and hearts oh my. That’s right, Valentine’s day. is around the corner The grid is alive with events surrounding that special day along with the normal monthly events. And some of them have some amazing and even funny items. You can’t miss Uber, Collabor88, or one of my favorites this month–Cupid Inc.

I want to discuss briefly some of the items in the above photo. The rug game is from Astralia. It’s this really great and playful rug with games, pillows, and animations. It’s also from Cupid Inc. Anxiety made this really cheeky envelope with hair on it called the daunting lover, which is also from Cupid inc. The rose petals are also available at Cupid Inc and the dog house from Half Deer is also available at Cupid Inc..  My outfit is from Uber and by dead dollz. My hair is from doux at their mainstore. I would like to make a quick mention about this hair. The bow is sold separately, as well as the style options. It’s such cute hair. I adore it.

My girl ali is wearing an outfit from Scandalize from Collabor88. The balloons are from nomad, from this past Friday’s Fifty Linden Friday event. My wonderful and fabulous backdrop is from Foxcity. This cute wonderful dog in the dog house is from Collabor88 by black bantom. It is just too cute for words. Whew.. that’s a lot of items.

But, before I go, I want to discuss my picture. It was inspired by Legally Blond. I love that movie. I always thought it was cute and fun. I usually watch movies like that to perk me up and I watch stand up comedy to laugh. I’m always inspired by things that make me smile and/or laugh. Hello everyone!! I hope everyone in the States are planning a fun filled fourth of July. Normally, my blog posts are usually a bit quick, but I had to take some time for myself this past week–one to prepare for the holiday and second I needed rest. So I do apologize for my blog coming a little later in the day, than I intended.

This past week has been a wonderful whirl wind of second life for me. I really couldn’t be any more happier than I am right now. I owe that to the people around me. It’s nice to be able to come into this virtual space on a rough day and have your spirit immediately lifted.

Unfortunately, I do want to reiterate that my health hasn’t been perfect, so blogging has not been at the forefront of my brain. I’ve had to take it easy the last few weeks. I’m still making blog posts, but they’re just a little slower than I’d like them to be. We all do what we can.

BUT, the grid has so many wonderful events from uber to famished.. to even rewind. I know this past round of rewind was great. I wan’t able to blog it quick enough, but it’s also an event to explore. Speaking of Uber and Famished….. The blazer, shorts, corset, and even hair come from uber. My sunglasses and rings are available at Fameshed. I really love all of these items together. Together, they help to create something truly special.

When taking this picture, I felt like a drug lord, so I came up with a little blurb with a backstory. I always think that pictures should convey a story or a feeling. It should make you feel something. If pictures don’t give you any sort of feeling, then I haven’t done my job :D.

I had so much fun during that shoot. In the past, I role played a female gangster.. I had a lot of fun with it, so it’s nice to be able to capture something that I portrayed inworld. Second life provides me with an artistic escape into my own thoughts, desires, and playfulness. So this picture means a lot to me.

Continuing on with that role play inspired picture, I picked The Fool from the tarot card deck to represent this particular gangster fueled picture. Even gangsters have to realize that you can’t fool people all the time. In the end, you will be found out and on the run. Yet in the end, running has to end eventually. So I deemed myself a fool on the run with cash and clothes at hand.

Before I go, I want to mention the pose fair. Bauhaus movement makes INCREDIBLE poses and I will never stop gushing about their poses or their pictures. I have been a long fan of theirs, since I started taking pictures. It’s one of the few companies that I will buy the entire fatpack of poses. I have another company that’s near and dear to my heart, which is CUCA Designs. I love both these companies, but you will have to wait to see what I do with her poses. Please check out the pose fair. I hope everyone had a great first day of summer, first and foremost!!! This year seems to blazing by in a flash. I am loving the journey of blogging. This photo up above has been a photo that I wanted to take for the longest time, but I waited for the perfect dress and accessories (just like in real life). I wanted everything to be perfect and I wanted it to be like how I envisioned. Also I want to put out there… NO I am not getting partnered. This is just a photo for the beauty and fun of it.

I’m still continuing with my series of tarot card inspired blog posts. This post is inspired by The Empress card. I looked through all the other major arcana cards and I knew this card would be perfect for this photo. It’s the card of femininity. “She is also sometimes seen as delighting us with flowers and fruit. A potentially terrifying aspect of this archetype manifests itself whenever karmic mood swings wipe out our plans, like a storm that has come upon us.” I’ve gone through a lot of things that wiped out my plans, only to put me through a different and a necessary path. Those paths led me to a wedding dress and some flowers. Honestly, I chose this card to go with this picture because it screams femininity too.

Speaking about this dress, I won this dress from the arcade. You’ll have to hurry though, because the days are numbered for the arcade. I won it from the Dead Dollz gacha. I knew right away this dress would in fact be “the” dress for this photo. I’ve waited way too long to take it. But today was the day. And I am sort of glad that I did wait. There are so many great items at the arcade this round. I can’t gush about it enough. You’ll have to hurry though. The arcade won’t be around too much longer.

Finally, I have to talk about this pose. I bought this pose at the vintage fair from a friend and pose maker–Nantra. I have to give a huge shout out to Nantra poses. They are a great pose company. It doesn’t hurt that the owner is also extremely sweet. I’ve been friends with her for some time and I should have raved about her poses long ago. If you haven’t checked out her store, I highly recommend it. Again, this pose is from the vintage fair and called Follies. The original pose did come with an adjustable and removable prop and the couch of course. I have not altered this pose at all. I rezzed it and I took the prop off and added a bouquet. Then, I snapped this picture. It is truly incredibly when a pose creator makes a pose that you can take a picture of right away. This creator truly is creative and talented.
