So it’s the end of the week and I’m fitting in a really tiny blog. Hair fair, pose fair, and the fetish fair are all coming to a close very soon. So if there’s something that you want, you’ll have to hurry.

I want to talk about a few of the items in this post. The bed and table are part of a set by Astralia and you can find this wonderful set at Uber. My hair is from Iconic and is available at Hair fair. You will have to hurry though, since hair fair ends on the first. So get in there, donate, and get some new wigs. Alisha’s wearing a harness that’s available at the fetish fair. My lingerie is from glitz and available at Collabr88. Finally, this pose.. lets talk about this pose. Cuca Designs created this pose and.. it is so incredibly hot. Pose Fair did an x rated theme.. called after dark. I didn’t feature too many of the scandalous poses, but the pose creators did some fantastic poses. This is one of many of Cuca’s poses that are just too hawt to handle, but done so lovely. Woman like me

So I’m going to make this blog a little short, since it is really early or late–depending on your perception of things. I will say this picture has me craving pizza like crazy. Thank you baguette for making the perfect virtual pizza. I think there may be a pizza in my future that is for sure.

So, I find myself a bit lonely lately, but that’s only because my schedule is very wacky at the moment. I am alone quite a bit, but I know that it will change soon–thankfully. So feeling that loneliness led me to the Einstein quote. It’s good to remind yourself that being alone is a good thing. Also I find that second life can be feast or famine sometimes. There are times where there is a ton of people to talk to and then.. sometimes the world seems a bit quiet. Feeling that I came across the quote and song (both can be found on flickr).

Moving right along to all those wonderful creations in the above picture. Most of the items in the above pick are from Collabor88 and the epiphany–both close soon. The new round of Collabor88 starts on the 8th and the epiphany closes soon. I will have to get back to you on closing dates, after I wake up :). Before I end with my credits, I know there has been so much tragedy in the US. I’m thinking of the families and the people who were senselessly killed by a shooter with no regard to life. This life is so precious and it’s sad that individuals feel as though they need to selfishly take it away. There is not enough love in the world. There’s not enough respect for life. Despite the tragedies, I will always have faith that things will change.. and one day there will be no mass shootings. Look for further posts in the future for charities to help the survivors. Keep them in your in hearts, thoughts, and prayers. ♥

So I’m doing this quick little blog. I’ve been a busy bee it seems like inworld. See I love the summe. But in reality, it has been all rain. It is an incredibly rainy summer this year. So hello second life and sunny days, which means.. I’m wearing all things summer.

If you feel the need for bright sunshine and bikinis, well I have the events and sims to visit. This really great bathing suit was created by Eliavah for Kustom9. It’s a really fun summer piece. It’s comes in multiple colors, and there’s a hud to control the lining, metals, and strings. There are so many textures available. Don’t miss out. And my hair.. oh my cute cute cute hair. Thanks to Doux.. I may have to rock this hair a bit this summer. It’s pushed back with a cute bow headband and there’s a hud that gives you an option to change the color of the bow. You can find it at their mainstore. Finally, my pose comes from Vanity. It’s by fashiowl. It’s appropriately named summer time, and the beach ball’s textures can be changed. So June is pride. Second Life Pride is raising money for the rainbow railroad, which gives people a shot at love in a safer country. As some know, some places in the world are just flat out dangerous to be a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex. Some governments even encouraging violence upon individuals in this community. By donating money, people are given the chance just to live their lives, without the fear of being put in jail or killed by their government. Several sims, clubs, and events have set up kiosks, encouraging others to donate to this wonderful cause. Second life pride is raising money for the Rainbow Railroad, please donate to the cause. Bad Guy

 

Heroes aren’t supposed to do bad things. That’s what villains are for. So either the good supersedes the bad, or the bad makes it impossible to remember the good. We don’t like it when such duality exists in one person. We don’t want to know our heroes are human. LZ Granderson

So I am a HUGE marvel fan. There’s nothing better in the summer than seeing movies about heroes and villains. And I have yet to see Endgame, but I am so  going to see it. I love the ideas of good guys/gals and bad guys/gals. But I have to say…. I love when the hero is the person that you would least expect.. or even when the villain is the person you least expect. There’s something great about that dynamic. I’ve always wanted to play the bad guy in a photo. And this picture definitely gave me that opportunity. To say that I was excited to do this picture is definitely an understatement. This was the day.. I ruined Alisha’s dress.

Okay, I am going to jump right into all the wonderful companies that helped me play the bad guy for at least an hour, during this photo shoot. Lets start off with my ever so gorgeous sweater. It’s sexy and surprising, also really fun to wear. It’s by eliavah and available in her mainstore. I admit that it was an earlier release in an event, but I was unable to get to blogging, due to real life responsibilities. Anyway, moving right along here, now these sexy hawt shorts are by Mossu and you can find this super comfy summer necessity at Collabor88. My gorgeous hair is by Doux and you can pick up this wig at Equal 10. Finally my mask is by the great vinyl, and you can pick it up in their mainstore. Now on to , the beautiful Ali, her dress and boots are from collabor88. the dress is from Emery and her sexy boots are from Empire. The glam hair is from again the wonderful company Doux and you can find it at this month’s Access. Also her jewelry and blindfold also come from collabor88. The blindfold is from LaGyo and her sexy naughty jewelry is from Bueno.

Now, I would like to talk about this really great scene. The backdrop comes from Boys to the bone and is located in the top floor of their mainstore. I was really surprised that this really funky backdrop was by boys to the bone, but I really like it and can see myself using it as part of my decor on my land–not just as a backdrop. Okay, okay, I HAVE to talk about the really fun van. DRD created this van awhile ago and I’ve been dying to make it part of one of my blog posts. It’s called.. wait for it.. the Joint Delivery van. The van even comes with a stoned animation. I have to say this may be one of my favorite funky things in my inventory. I am a little biased though. About a year ago, I was put on a medical cannabis program, due to my increasing pain levels. I was against it for a very long time, until I myself needed this drug to function on some levels. It has given me quality of life and the ability to go out and enjoy life–it’s more than just smoking it. It has topicals and CBN infused bandages for sleep. It helps a lot of people and does a lot of good. I am now a medical cannabis advocate in my real life, because of my own experience. Okay now onto my shopping cart, it’s by anxiety and found at their mainstore.. again it comes with some great poses. It’s nice for pictures but can also be used for decor. Finally, the maitress in the background is by anc and this too can be found at their mainstore.

Whew, thank you for sticking with me through all of thattttt. I know that was a lot of items to go through, but it takes a lot of creators to make wonderful products for photos. Without them, I would never be able to take such fun pictures, so I am always thankful for their time and effort.

Like On Vaca, Lets ALL Go

And I sure do need a little bit of chocolate. It’s that time of year again–chocolates, flowers, and hearts oh my. That’s right, Valentine’s day. is around the corner The grid is alive with events surrounding that special day along with the normal monthly events. And some of them have some amazing and even funny items. You can’t miss Uber, Collabor88, or one of my favorites this month–Cupid Inc.

I want to discuss briefly some of the items in the above photo. The rug game is from Astralia. It’s this really great and playful rug with games, pillows, and animations. It’s also from Cupid Inc. Anxiety made this really cheeky envelope with hair on it called the daunting lover, which is also from Cupid inc. The rose petals are also available at Cupid Inc and the dog house from Half Deer is also available at Cupid Inc..  My outfit is from Uber and by dead dollz. My hair is from doux at their mainstore. I would like to make a quick mention about this hair. The bow is sold separately, as well as the style options. It’s such cute hair. I adore it.

My girl ali is wearing an outfit from Scandalize from Collabor88. The balloons are from nomad, from this past Friday’s Fifty Linden Friday event. My wonderful and fabulous backdrop is from Foxcity. This cute wonderful dog in the dog house is from Collabor88 by black bantom. It is just too cute for words. Whew.. that’s a lot of items.

But, before I go, I want to discuss my picture. It was inspired by Legally Blond. I love that movie. I always thought it was cute and fun. I usually watch movies like that to perk me up and I watch stand up comedy to laugh. I’m always inspired by things that make me smile and/or laugh. Lazy Morning

I’ve been quiet lately. And I’m a little late blogging this post. But, I had some living to do. It’s important to remember to enjoy moments and taking them in. Today is a snow filled lazy day. So here I am blogging away and enjoying the picturesque ambiance of silence in the snow. I generally hate snow, but I’ll take my lazy day. So like my day, my picture captures a quiet hopeful morning with breakfast in bed. Of course, I could never create such a picture without the help of designers and their amazing creations.

I’m going to jump right into the thick of it and talk about all those lovely events. Collabor88, Uber, Fameshed, and equal10 are all featured in this lovely picture. My hair is from doux which can be found at equal 10. My shirt came from Uber. My boots are from Uber and by Utopia@Design. The bed, 8 tracks, furniture, food items, and dishes are from collabor88. There are also a few food items from Uber as well. My skirt is from collabor88. The nightstand is from Fameshed. I would go into everyone of these items in detail, but real life is sneaking up on me. Generally, my blogs are a little longer, but I have been dealing with lack of sleep. So my pillow beckons me for a nap. BUT, I do like to add a moral or something important in my blogs. With Thanksgiving coming up around the corner, I wanted to again emphasize the importance of enjoying life. Family can be crazy. Friends can be difficult sometimes. BUT, these people in life are so important. It’s important to take a moment and enjoy the season… find something to be thankful for and cherish it. Every season has its beauty. Don’t let it pass you by.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died. Steven Wright

In the last few months, I’ve been using tarot cards as inspiration for my photos. So when  I made my second life Halloween inspired land… I knew that a table with tarot cards was a requirement. It has come full circle with this latest picture.

 It’s such a joy to wrap up my last series of photos up with this picture. I’m a bit of a tarot card reader. It’s something that I do for friends and family. So I wanted to take that real life interest and let that be my muse. I really love this outfit. I didn’t win this wonderful dress by candy doll at the Epiphany, but I did buy it from the marketplace. However, I did win the gorgeous wings from Candy doll’s set at the epiphany. I just had to have the dress, so I bought it. Moving right along, Zenith makes really gorgeous masks, available at Collabor88. I always get a little excited seeing a mask made by them. I know it will be stunning. When I saw this dress, I knew right away that it would pair nicely with this mask. The hair is by exile and is also available at collabor88. It’s a really great style and just down right cute. Alisha is wearing the rare hat from shadenfreude available at the Arcade. The dress and stockings are from canimal, Her hair is from doux.

Finally, a lot of the decor came from Collabor88. UnKindness created this really great furniture set to include the cabinets, books, and moon statue. The candy on the floor is from the wonderful ++half deer+…. a creator that makes the cutest things. My wallet is always handed over to this company, happily might I add. I know this blog post is a little short. This week has not been kind to me. Normally, I would write up a long blog post, but I need to take care of myself a bit today. But don’t you fret….. I’ll be back to semi normal in a bit.

I hope everyone had a great first day of summer, first and foremost!!! This year seems to blazing by in a flash. I am loving the journey of blogging. This photo up above has been a photo that I wanted to take for the longest time, but I waited for the perfect dress and accessories (just like in real life). I wanted everything to be perfect and I wanted it to be like how I envisioned. Also I want to put out there… NO I am not getting partnered. This is just a photo for the beauty and fun of it.

I’m still continuing with my series of tarot card inspired blog posts. This post is inspired by The Empress card. I looked through all the other major arcana cards and I knew this card would be perfect for this photo. It’s the card of femininity. “She is also sometimes seen as delighting us with flowers and fruit. A potentially terrifying aspect of this archetype manifests itself whenever karmic mood swings wipe out our plans, like a storm that has come upon us.” I’ve gone through a lot of things that wiped out my plans, only to put me through a different and a necessary path. Those paths led me to a wedding dress and some flowers. Honestly, I chose this card to go with this picture because it screams femininity too.

Speaking about this dress, I won this dress from the arcade. You’ll have to hurry though, because the days are numbered for the arcade. I won it from the Dead Dollz gacha. I knew right away this dress would in fact be “the” dress for this photo. I’ve waited way too long to take it. But today was the day. And I am sort of glad that I did wait. There are so many great items at the arcade this round. I can’t gush about it enough. You’ll have to hurry though. The arcade won’t be around too much longer.

Finally, I have to talk about this pose. I bought this pose at the vintage fair from a friend and pose maker–Nantra. I have to give a huge shout out to Nantra poses. They are a great pose company. It doesn’t hurt that the owner is also extremely sweet. I’ve been friends with her for some time and I should have raved about her poses long ago. If you haven’t checked out her store, I highly recommend it. Again, this pose is from the vintage fair and called Follies. The original pose did come with an adjustable and removable prop and the couch of course. I have not altered this pose at all. I rezzed it and I took the prop off and added a bouquet. Then, I snapped this picture. It is truly incredibly when a pose creator makes a pose that you can take a picture of right away. This creator truly is creative and talented. Opps, it seems that I’ve fallen, while snapping this picture. I was hoping my audience would forgive me for a non stunning posed picture. Everyone makes mistakes, right? Right??? It’s okay though. I’ve forgiven myself and taken this opportunity to laugh at myself.

I’m starting to embrace humor in my pictures. I was chatting with someone one day. They commented on my pictures not being funny or fun. I did some self reflections and realized that they were right. It’s nice to change up your pictures or old habits. You may even learn something new about yourself in the process. It’s never too late to try something new. And I definitely wanted to try something different. Maybe even laugh at myself a little.

But, I could never have been given this opportunity without the help of some very special designers. I visited the vintage fair recently and found this really great set from a company that’s new to me. Kei’s Spot is the creator of this 1950’s inspired bath house. Even though it’s not the exclusive at the vintage fair, it’s still a great piece. Here’s why, many times I look at backdrops and buy them, but they do sit in my inventory. This type of backdrop isn’t really just for pictures. I can actually use this as decor on my land. I love buying something that will double as a photo prop and also use it multiple times for different purposes. I really hope that more companies start to make a backdrops that could double as decor. My picture would never have the same feeling with out Kei’s spot.. so thank you so much for creating this fun product!!

Moving along to my bathing suit, as many people know, I’m having a love affair with Eliavah products. She created this wonderful bathing suit for Frou Frou. I absolutely adore all the options that are available. With the options of a shiny suit, or more of a matte textured suit, I had to try something a bit different. I love this company because I’m always tempted to try new colors, designs, or patterns. There are 33 available options for the swimsuit. that’s a lot of options. The fatpack does include additional options only available with in it. There’s 27 available options. BUT, she also included a hud to change the ribbons as well. So there are a ton of ways to customize your bathing suit. I can’t rave about this company enough, but she definitely works hard and it shows.

Finally, I’d like to talk about my tattoo and hair. I found this hair at equal10 by Doux. It’s not the exclusive event item, but I knew it would be perfect for this photo. My tattoo is from Pichi. I like to throw in tattoos sometimes. It’s a nice change and everyone needs a bit of change sometimes. It’s available at the vintage fair and it is an item exclusive. I really hope that you visit these events on the grid. There are some great products out there.

The Sun

I’ve been meaning to blog for a few days now, but I spent some time building this set and dealing with some real life health issues. BUT today is the day! I woke up to feeling as bright and sunny as this picture. So I knew it was time to edit this photo of myself and a friend of mine.

Because my time in second life is sometimes very chaotic, I always contemplate the time spent away and together with the people around me. When I came across this quote, I knew that it was perfect. It’s exactly how I feel. It’s always sad to have to spent time away, but it’s always such a joy to come together.

I was able to do a photo shoot with a good friend of mine Cuore. She owns a pose company called Cuca Designs. Her poses range from sweet couple poses to the naughtier side of things. I highly recommend her poses, if you enjoy taking those types of photos. She’s also a cool chick. Don’t cross her though. She has claws. I saw them and everything. Okay, okay, okay, okay, I didn’t see her claws, but she did tell me about them. If you’re interested in her poses, please check out Cuca Designs.

Moving along, I chose this particular scene, because I love the beach. I love the feeling of sand between my toes and the ocean sea breeze, sweeping through my hair. I’ve had so many fond real life memories of enjoying myself at the beach. I just had to create a photo, depicting fun in the sun. But you can’t go to the beach alone, you always have to bring a friend. It’s like a rule or something. Alright, it’s not a rule, but I always like having someone along for the ride. And my friend decided to come along with me. I’m really thankful for the time that we shared. Just like real life, I now have the memory of taking this wonderful picture.

Sometimes it’s really hard to move past things. And long ago, I had made a decision not to take pictures with other people in my blog. But sometimes, you change your mind or life changes your mind. In this case, it was my friends who changed my mind. You see this world can really bring joy to people in the simplest of ways. And who am I to deny someone a pleasant memory and a really good time? Or even to allow myself to have fun and make memories? I knew that taking this photo would do just that. Ultimately, I didn’t want my stubbornness to stop me from enjoying myself in this world.

Life can really make you want to hide away. We all go through things that effect us. And I won’t lie. My experiences have made me seek a hiding place. But you can’t hide forever. If you wear your heart on your sleeve, it can be even harder. I’ve gone through a lot in the last few months and I wanted to hide away. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I didn’t want to interact with people in any world. It’s funny how life works though. When you don’t want that interaction, the universe will throw those opportunities at you–almost laughing while it does. In short, this picture means a lot to me.

Sometimes heart break can make you close yourself off.  I’ve done it in all worlds. But I can’t do that…not now, especially now. When you go through rough things in any world, sometimes you need people around you. They help heal you. They mend the broken parts. Friends can do that for you. Pain does break me. But it didn’t break me that day. So today, I saw the sun.

In the major arcana, the sun card is an image of optimism and fulfilment, the dawn that follows the darkest night. Having struggled through the shadow sides you now know yourself and know where you are heading, and the sun illuminates your path. My personal deck has a picture of a child naked. He’s free with nothing to hide. And neither do I… So I will speak of the darkest nights of pain or the burden it places on me. But the sun does shine, after the hardest days. Second life helps me to see the sun with a friend, even if I don’t get to go to the beach this summer. In a way, I already did. And I even had great company too.

On that note, I really want to thank a specific designer who reached out to me. I adore this designer and their creations. My wallet weeps every time I see something by them, because I am bound to buy it. I was going through a really dark day and I had a designer reach out to me. They gave me a virtual hug, which made me tear up. Thank you ++half dear++

In that sun card like the child, I have nothing to hide. I miss people sometimes. I miss the way things use to be. I miss a lot of things in second life and real life. But I know that the sun will shine again. The clouds will part, if you let them. You live. You learn. You make mistakes. But mistakes don’t define who you are or who you will become. I would never have learned those lessons without the friends that I have today. I’m very thankful in a lot of ways for my sl world.
