So I normally don’t do a double post, but well I was a bit busy in the month of September. I haven’t really been online much in the last two weeks. But sometimes, you have battles you have to face in life and I am no exception. So I had to step away.. handle my life and come back with new eyes.

The above two photos were again inspired by a series called guild hunter. I am very addicted to it. After many years of not really reading much, I’ve stepped back into eating books. I fell in love with so many of the characters. I will admit those angel characters are seeping through to my sl.

Any way, I digress. Collabor88, Kustom9, and Uber have all been open and running. I highly recommend these three events. They are completely fantastic. I hope you all find something that you really like. I have to make a quick note about my sexy shorts by Eliavah… they are fantastically dirty and I like it. My hot skull heels are by Utopia and perfect for a creepy start to October. I hope you all enjoy these items as much as I do. Truly wonderful pieces.

Sunshine and Rays

So I’m here!! I did not quit. I promise!! I’ve been away from blogging for a little while. I know that it has been awhile. I needed to step away and do some things in real life. I have a very good friend who gave birth and I have other family adopting. And I had a close friend whose father landed in ICU.  It has been a very emotional summer and roller coaster. That is definitely for sure.

I want to say it feels so so so good to sit down behind my pc and be able to blog, after such a difficult…happy few weeks. Life can really be so so busy and complicated.. and well just beautiful at times. I took time to be there for loved ones and wait for calls… and spend late nights with friends in real life. Social media is an amazing tool and helps me to stay connected in my real life, but it also means that at times.. I do become busy with people that I have known over the years.

When I finally sat down behind my Pc to create a picture, I knew that summer was just the ticket. I really could use a moment to relax. I’ve had a very long summer. So I did what any person stressed out would do. I created a beach on my land of course. I had never built a beach so it was definitely a learning experience. I was so confused at first, BUT in the end.. by golly I got it!!! It’s really fun to learn new things, even if it is virtually.

To make this beautiful scene with me bathing in the sun, I went to my go to designer… Eliavah. She made this super super super sexy outfit. It’s called Star Dancer Attire. There are a ton of hues to pick from. And this WIG… this wonderful sexy flirty wispy ..romantic hairdo is from Exile. You can find it at this latest round of Collabor88. My chair is from soy, which you can also find at Collabor88. I really like this lounge chair. The texture is gorgeous. And it’s the perfect addiction to any summer home. My cute little animesh crab is from MishMish. I think it’s super cute. It moves back and forth, smiling away. MishMish always makes the cutest items. I may be just a tad bit addicted. My gorgeous bag is from pilot, which holds all the necessary accessories. My little beach ball, there in the background is from Kata0nik. It really does help to make any beach pop. I have been to so many events in the last week, so I have my work cut out for me. So many great designers are putting out some really great items. I decided to jump right in and talk about everything second life shopping for June. And here we go…..

I want to talk about this whole outfit… as well as poses. My awesome poses are by the great Cuca@Designs. It’s the cuppa Joe and Jane poses. You can find this pose set at Flourish. My shirt is by the ever fabulous Eliavah. This shirt is so gorgeous. Eliavah created this beautiful top for Fameshed. My wind swept hair is none other the wonderful Exile and you can find this beautiful swept away wig at Collabor88. My shoes are from Utopia@Design, which is also featured at Fameshed. Can we talk about shoes, I really adore these heels. I’m so going to rock them all the time this summer.  Lets not forget about this really fabulous handbag by Vive Nine. I found this at their mainstore. I recently won a contest for Vive Nine, so I was going through their store and checking out a lot of their clothes and accessories. They are not a store to be missed. They have some great pieces. Check them out. I can see myself using my fab bag all around town. And if you like this gentleman’s shirt.. you have to look no further than Anthem. My quote on forgiveness… well my sweet honey bees, forgiveness is always something that I think about often. We’ve all been on both ends of forgiveness.. giving, or receiving forgiveness. It’s like a cat scratching you, but you forgive the cat and still cuddle, because well you love them. It’s kind of like that. I think about it often because I find it interesting how it’s easy to forgive some situations easier than others. I guess it sparked something that happened to me in rl. I forgave someone for almost breaking something of mine.. that had sentimental value. I was lucky it didn’t break, but … It also made me think that even if they did break it.. I would have still forgiven them, because I care about them–but also for myself. I didn’t want to hold onto that anger. It serves no purpose to hold onto anger. Holding onto anger holds a person back, from feeling happiness in the moment. It prevents us from enjoying the good that could be happening around us. It steals our time.. our happiness.. and our moments.

Sometimes it really is just best to forgive. And then after forgive… you could just go shopping inworld… like I did 😀

I wanted to do this really little blog post for spring. I’ve been spending time with loved ones today, so that’s why this is a bit shorter than usual. I want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Easter! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my weekend. It was filled with love and care. The best thing we can do is spend time with the people that we love.

Apocalypse Of The Heart

In my last post, I didn’t write very much. I’ve been a little bit sick in my real life and I’ve been having to sort of take one day at a time. I have to say though.. I do feel a lot better than a few days ago. Sometimes meds can just make a person feel really sick. Enough about me though, lets talk about this back drop.

This backdrop and scene represents exactly how I feel sometimes. Everything is in shambles. All the light in the world turns black and bleak. It becomes this apocalypse of nothingness of the heart. There’s this metaphorical death, when time seems to pass and things change. It can be really sad at times. I also linked a song with a very powerful message of strength.. so when you think that everything is in shambles, just remember you are not alone in the world, and you are much stronger than you think. Just hold on for another day.

It may seem odd to have balloons and confetti, but I have a good reason for the pity party. Sometimes you have to drown in the emotion and feel everything, before you can start to heal. It becomes a pity party. BUT, I think it’s important to let your friends, family, etc pull you out of the sad party of one, giving you a bit of air to breathe. So if you feel the need to wallow, do it. Just remember, there’s more than sadness in all worlds and let people pull you out of the sadness. In my own heartbreak over the years, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve gone through a few lessons too. Yet, I always find the joy in life, eventually.

The thing with an apocalypse is that you can start over. With every death, there is a new beginning–or at least that’s according to my tarot cards. Don’t drown in your sorrow for too long, you may never know what awaits you in the future if you do. I feel the need to end on a light note, because I like a good ending. So you will just have to see a much happier post next time.

Sweet Dreams

I have been really busy this past week in all worlds. I’ve taken pictures and built sets. And I finally get that moment to really sit down and think about this blog post. As soon as, I saw the backdrop from foxcity at Collabor88, I knew right away that I would make a dreamy post with sweet treats. So I really have looked forward to this post.

Normally on Valentine’s day, I send out photos ..a valentine’s day card. But this year, I indulged in sweet treats in real life, savoring each wonderful bite and I really did just enjoy the day. Instead, I opted for a delectable treats and a day of rest instead.

I love valentine’s day and wanted to do a month of sweet dreamy posts. I wanted to get lost in the moment of happiness. And maybe make a post inspired by legally blond. I love that movie. And I would be lying, if I said that movie wasn’t my muse. It totally was. There’s a scene where Elle Woods is sitting in her bed eating chocolate, after a break up. I think many people have gone through that upset. For some reason, second life seemed to curse a lot of my friends this past month. And that scene is one that always comes to mind, when I think of break ups–maybe because I’ve been there before. Who hasn’t?

This month has been nothing of love and hearts inworld for me personally, but in my dreams..and my pictures it was sweet sailing. So I let my love of all things sweet inspire me and a scene covered in pink–despite the sadness. I think even in that scene.. one can see the hope. Her friends coming to pull her out of her funk. Second life can be like that…so much. We go through a hard break with a friend, significant other, partner, etc, and we get Elle Woods in that moment. But it’s nice to see the hope through our friends.

What made my valentine’s day sweet inworld? It was my friends saying things that I needed to hear… not what I wanted to hear. It was the people who surrounded me in all things pink and reminded me that mistakes don’t define you. Anger is only temporary. And there are moments of calm. So maybe you have been touched by the second life Valentine’s Day curse. This post is for you my friend. I’m here to say, this too shall pass. Keep dreaming sweet things. Maybe indulge in something sweet in real life. If you can’t have that sweet treat in real life, maybe opt for something that you love to do instead. Whatever you do, just make sure to do something that makes you smile. And remember forgiveness is important, not for the other person, but for yourself. Holding on to anger and resentment only hurts us that much more in the end.

I came to the conclusion of what to write by a show called One Day At A Time. It’s about a Latino family living in Los Angeles, with all of its ups and downs of life. In one of the episodes, there was a woman struggling with anxiety. Recently, I’ve dealt with my own anxiety, during bad moments of pain. It can be scary and hard, especially when you can’t breath. But it was in that moment, I realized the importance of second life being a calm place. This isn’t a space where I want to be angry at anyone. My body makes me angry enough. This isn’t the place for it. And in that, I found forgiveness. I forgave anyone in that moment, because anger no longer served me. I can only hope that moment of clarity comes to others. It’s a gift. And if you seek a peaceful second life, it all starts within.

Before I end this blog post, I want to go into my fabulous outfit. My shirt, cardigan, skirt, and shoes are all by the fantastic Eliavah. She has really out done herself with this outfit. The texture and colors are so pretty. I felt soft and feminine. I just want to go out in the town and party the night away in this outfit. New beginnings

 

 

 

 

And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been. Rainer Maria Rilke

The holidays were a whirl wind. They had the ability to sneak up on me, when I least expected it. Before you know it, I was ordering presents, sending out baked goods (made by someone else of course), and wrapping gifts to place under my tree. I blinked right into a new year. Christmas day was a complete blur. New Year’s was a very welcomed new Beginning.

I usually do a year in review. But last year was one of those years.. I have no problem forgetting. It seemed like if it could go wrong, then it did. I had a close friend of mine tell me recently that not all years will be great. Some will be awesome. Some will be rough. Some will be frustrating.. Some will be.. well you get the point. The only thing you can do is fight like hell for happy moments and make the most of them.

I am working hard in real life and in second life to just be happy at the moment. Taking pictures is part of that process, so ..I really enjoyed taking this picture. And I hope others can see that. A few years ago, I always went out for New Years. I really wanted to portray that party scene with this picture. I couldn’t do that without the latest events, which leads me into my next topic…

The pose fair opened and this round seems to be even better than the last, and my favorite.. collabor88 also opened. A friend of mine has some really fun poses for sale. The poses in the picture are from Cuca@Design and the backdrop is from Illuzion, which are all available at the pose fair. My outfit is from collabor88 and the male in the picture is wearing an outfit from TMD event. ANDDDDD… GENUS. We HAVE to talk about the genus head. If you were part of the beta head, before it hit the store for sale, you get the baby face bento head FOR FREE! You just have to go to redelivery and it will be in the folder, to unpack. Okay before I forget this, I want to make a quick note. Recently.. and bear with me, I watched a Taylor Swift concert on Netflix. Say what you will, about her…but her show was a lot of fun to watch. She talked about having a reputation. And there’s been a lot of discussion about reputations (it’s the name of her stadium tour). A reputation is none of our business. People will say things. Work hard. Ignore it. Your friends will know you. Sometimes you just have to focus on yourself and not worry about what is said about you. Work hard. Be good at what you do. People will love you. People will hate you, but how you feel about yourself is way more important. Her performance was just sort of magical… but I have a thing for dancing and singing. I like a good show. And… can someone please make a gold snake microphone.. kind of love that…  Yeah I had to write this article.. because that microphone was awesome. Also, I think it’s always good to have your own experiences with people, before you judge them–but that’s just me. The picture above was inspired by her concert. Oh and… always take anger and put it into something productive♥♥♥ Okay.. now that my thoughts have exploded on this page….  go shopping and buy those awesome things!!

Quick note.. For the best results with the poses, please make sure to take off all huds and turn off all hand controls through the main and the hand hud . The right hand of the pose is suppose to have straight fingers. I tried multiply times with the Firestorm viewer and the only way to get the fingers to straighten was to take off every hud and turn off hand movements. My apologies to Cuca@Designs. I tried turning them off the hand pose through the maitreya hud and the separate hand hud, but it failed. And I did not realize it until the picture was posted.

I once had someone tell me that .. I never have to explain myself. And I think sometimes..especially in second life, I don’t have to. I tried to decide what to put in this latest blog post, and I’ve written it a bunch of times. I finally have decided not to post in detail about my struggles. I am going through things that are difficult and struggling at this time. Thank you for your patience.

However, I will touch base with a few things though, in regards to flickr and tumblr. Some know about the impending changes on tumblr.  Flickr has gone through a few as well. I tried to post a picture a few days ago, but the middle arrow was gray to me. I don’t post restrictive photos often, but I air on the side of caution in regards to lingerie or anything sexual in nature. Since, I don’t post restrictive content often… it could have been like this for the longest time and I just didn’t know that you can’t link the picture directly to a blog post.

I love blogging and I would hate worrying about my flickr page, so I’m careful. The US imposed a bill making companies responsible for the content on their websites. Meaning, if sex trafficking were to be found on their website, the government would hold the website responsible. So websites have now been responding with strict rules or new rules all together in regards to content.

As much as I enjoy taking scandalous photos from time to time, I will be careful from now on in regards to my blog. Since I do air on the side of caution and I have worked hard on my blog for quite some time, I will try to make everything as pg as possible on my page. Hopefully that law will be looked at again and changed, since I think this punishes users and not the criminals that they’re seeking. I will link an article speaking about the law. This is the reason for why so many sites are changing their rules. I’ve seen a lot of second life residents react to the rules (such as tumblr), but not question why it’s happening. This is the reason that it’s happening.. unfortunately.

The reason I will air on the side of caution is because once censorship begins… one has to wonder where it will stop and one has to wonder how it will effect them. Meaning, I do not want my flickr shut down due to sharing my inworld pictures on my blog (even though I highly doubt that will happen). Again, I am just being careful. Better safe than sorry.

And I will touch base on one final thing, before getting to my credits. I am struggling in my real life. I have bad days. I have good days. Little things can seem bigger than they really are, because of those bad days. So if things upset me, I will tend to back off. I’m not doing it to upset anyone. I am doing it for my own mental health. I’m going through enough in real life and sometimes stepping away from an upsetting situation, until I’m in the mental space to handle it is mandatory. I would hate to say or do something that I regret. Again, thank you for your patience at this time.

Normally, I don’t post a picture and credits first, BUT I have been a very busy girl in all world. As you can see above, I’ve been busy shopping and decorating (in both worlds!). I debated making this two separate posts. But I took the first picture and then received a few things from one of my sponsors and I wanted to make it a series. And so here we are.

There are a TON of great shopping right now. I’ve been to Kustom9, Tannenbaum, The Arcade, Uber, The epiphany, and black friday shopping.. whew so much shopping. And I did some real life shopping too….my poor wallet. But as you can see, I’ve been super busy planning this photo. This holiday season, you will see warm and cozy posts, featuring some great pieces by creators. They have surely been working super hard and it shows.

I’ve had some worried friends online and I want to assure everyone… I really am okay. I’ve been really busy in both worlds. Managing the holidays and physical therapy is definitely challenging. And I’ve had a few tough days thrown into the mix. Things will calm down soon. I’m sure of it. But I am working hard to create pictures that  I can be proud of.. and I hope that you like them too.

I have included all of my credits, below the photos. I thought this may be a bit easier to navigate due to the amount of items in each picture. My theme for this month with Peace, love, and joy. I encourage all residents to put issues aside, come together, and be friendly. Peace on Earth …good will toward one another is the true essence of the holidays. Lets love one another enough to care about each other. We can not live without the help of each other…and humanity can be a beautiful gorgeous part of life, when we seek the positive out of life. I hope you fill your heart with love and share that love with others this wonderful holiday season

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died. Steven Wright

In the last few months, I’ve been using tarot cards as inspiration for my photos. So when  I made my second life Halloween inspired land… I knew that a table with tarot cards was a requirement. It has come full circle with this latest picture.

 It’s such a joy to wrap up my last series of photos up with this picture. I’m a bit of a tarot card reader. It’s something that I do for friends and family. So I wanted to take that real life interest and let that be my muse. I really love this outfit. I didn’t win this wonderful dress by candy doll at the Epiphany, but I did buy it from the marketplace. However, I did win the gorgeous wings from Candy doll’s set at the epiphany. I just had to have the dress, so I bought it. Moving right along, Zenith makes really gorgeous masks, available at Collabor88. I always get a little excited seeing a mask made by them. I know it will be stunning. When I saw this dress, I knew right away that it would pair nicely with this mask. The hair is by exile and is also available at collabor88. It’s a really great style and just down right cute. Alisha is wearing the rare hat from shadenfreude available at the Arcade. The dress and stockings are from canimal, Her hair is from doux.

Finally, a lot of the decor came from Collabor88. UnKindness created this really great furniture set to include the cabinets, books, and moon statue. The candy on the floor is from the wonderful ++half deer+…. a creator that makes the cutest things. My wallet is always handed over to this company, happily might I add. All the other items will be listed in the credits section, down below.

I know this blog post is a little short. This week has not been kind to me. Normally, I would write up a long blog post, but I need to take care of myself a bit today. But don’t you fret….. I’ll be back to semi normal in a bit.
