Melting in the Heat

Whew, it is HAWT outside. I truly believe that.. if i could have melted… I probably would have this past week. It seems we are all feeling the heat. The weather totally knocked me out last week. The temperatures lowered. And I feel like a person again…not on fire. This past week, I felt pretty miserable from the heat like so many. Thankfully, in my real life, my animals kept me really great company. I was incredibly lucky to have them. So my pets kind of inspired this picture–chilling with ice cream and my best friend by my side. Animals are awesome like that.

Which leads me to the next topic, the adorable wolf, decor, and fantastic summer clothes, I must talk about it all. There are a TON of items in this picture. As I was writing down all my credits in a notecard, I realized that… I may just need to mention briefly the events. Most of the items featured above are from Collabor88 and the latest round at the Epiphany. I have to say.. I really adore this outfit. I don’t want to take it off. This cute little romper by Aleutia, hair from monso, earrings from Max Gossamer, glasses by fetch are all from Collabor88. My decor comes from so many wonderful companies: Ice cream and inner tube from Dahlia, cat bag and gun from Tentacio, gloves from foxwood, and way too many to list in this paragraph. You really will have to check out my credits down below. I really shopped till I dropped.

As I melted from heat in real life, I really just wanted to be by the beach with an ice cream cone, a water gun.. and may be a furry friend by my side. July has been the month where I haven’t been online much. I am going to have more time, since some things in my real life have slowed down. I had family that had an adoption go through. So I’ve spent some nights talking to family and sharing pictures of the little guy. We’re all thrilled. But now, I can sit down relax and kind of get into the groove of blogging again. Hey everyone, so the grid has some really really really great shopping. It’s so incredibly good, that I’m broke until Thursday. Say whaatttt? You will have to stick with me for the next few days, as I go into my blogging frenzy. But first let’s begin with this picture…

Collabor88 has a spacey theme.. from UFO’s to all things out of this world. It’s a really fun concept, and this is the time to pick up some really fun and funky items. My flying spaceship is from Reign. It’s really meant to be attached to you, so that you’re flying around in a UFO rather than walking. It’s pretty great. I adore it. If you do rez this ship, I do have to warn you.. it is a lot of prims. I would so suggest flying around in it. Then, there’s this panda.. this cute adorable panda. It’s by mishmish. There’s a decor option or a companion. The lamps and tiny flying UFO are from Schendenfreude. It has a hud to change the textures. It’s a wonderful item, if you like a mod style to your decor. I like it because the lamps are extremely unique. I really haven’t seen anything quite like it in my second life shopping travels. The bar sign and table are from second spaces. I used this sign as an inspiration for this photo. I also included this funky chair that pairs great with the lamps. Soy made this ultra funky hip chair. And then my backdrop is from Foxcity. The backdrop has some really bright and beautiful lighting. I always have this special place in my heart for Foxcity. I tend to use their windlighs quite a bit, so I’m a little partial to this brand.

Finally, we absolutely must talk about my out of this world outfit. My bodysuit and cuffs are by the none other Eliavah. She created this futuristic bodysuit. Again, this item is really unique with the glow of the cuffs, to the glowing parts of the bodysuit. The piping can be changed, that lines this outfit. The belt has color and medal options too. There’s so many options for textures, and the fatpack has so many options for piping, bodysuit, and glow–along with the belt and metal. The texture of the bodysuit has a beautiful sheen to it. It’s a really fun piece to have in your inventory for those out of this world parties. And then this hair.. this really cute hair is by monso. My hair has a truly romantic feel. It can be paired with so many different types of outfits from romantic to fashion forward. This wig is definitely a great hairstyle for those hot summer months. Then, finally, there’s this really dainty cute necklace, which is by La Baguette. Before I forget, my pose is by Fashiowl. I pulled this whole picture together with this completely fabulous pose, which is available on the marketplace.

I’ve so enjoyed making this picture. I know there are some incredibly things at collabor88 this round..special and different than your every day items. I hope you too find something special at this months round. Bring family or a friend with you and have a blast.

Before I leave you to the credits, I want to talk about my quote. I’ve been on a kick this past few posts about peace. As some may know, June is pride. I think peace, love, and acceptance are just so important. I think Malcom X said it best with this quote. You really can’t be at peace without freedom. Pride is all about freedom… the freedom to be who you are, because you can’t truly be at peace without being able to be who you are. That’s what this month is all about the freedom of being who you are. I hope everyone is having a happy pride. My Pride picture is yet to come, so stay tuned my loyal followers. I will be back.

So I’m doing this quick little blog. I’ve been a busy bee it seems like inworld. See I love the summe. But in reality, it has been all rain. It is an incredibly rainy summer this year. So hello second life and sunny days, which means.. I’m wearing all things summer.

If you feel the need for bright sunshine and bikinis, well I have the events and sims to visit. This really great bathing suit was created by Eliavah for Kustom9. It’s a really fun summer piece. It’s comes in multiple colors, and there’s a hud to control the lining, metals, and strings. There are so many textures available. Don’t miss out. And my hair.. oh my cute cute cute hair. Thanks to Doux.. I may have to rock this hair a bit this summer. It’s pushed back with a cute bow headband and there’s a hud that gives you an option to change the color of the bow. You can find it at their mainstore. Finally, my pose comes from Vanity. It’s by fashiowl. It’s appropriately named summer time, and the beach ball’s textures can be changed. So June is pride. Second Life Pride is raising money for the rainbow railroad, which gives people a shot at love in a safer country. As some know, some places in the world are just flat out dangerous to be a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex. Some governments even encouraging violence upon individuals in this community. By donating money, people are given the chance just to live their lives, without the fear of being put in jail or killed by their government. Several sims, clubs, and events have set up kiosks, encouraging others to donate to this wonderful cause. Second life pride is raising money for the Rainbow Railroad, please donate to the cause. She grew into her horns, never denying her inner most demons. Now shown to the world, her darkest parts. Her eyes glazed over, all color stripped away. Her eyes almost translucent. Being fearful of all her darkness consuming her, changing her, warping her outer exterior, She felt the air leave her lungs. The room becoming smaller. Her eyes widen watching the lights flowing out of her hands. A relief shown on her face, she knew light was part of her and she was more than just darkness. The witch had not won her being. She was still the same person despite all of her light shown to the world–both light and dark. Determined, she would not the let the darkness, evil, and inner demons win, even on all hollows eve.

“I am made of both light and darkness. I am more than the darkness that resides inside my soul.” And on she fights every day with her curse.

So as some may have noticed, I sometimes include a little story with my pictures. I’ve done that here. I felt so inspired by this picture, like a story was building along with my set. So I included one.

I’m not going to make this blog, since I’m still recovering a bit from surgery. But I want to say that Hair Fair is still going on strong. It ends this Sunday though, so you’ll have to hurry to get those last wigs. My hair is by Eliavah and available at hair fair. I really do like this hair. For my lelutka head, I had to wear the hour glass version and tweak my shape, but I did get it to fit. I’m really glad too, because this hair is super hawt. I’ll be wearing it again, that’s for sure. And I highly recommend this round. Salem is also insane. I bought so so so much stuff from this latest round. In the spirit of Tarot Cards Major Arcana, I am naming this post the moon. This card in the upright position can represent fear. What’s scarier than the things that go bump in the night and Halloween is all about the night of scares. So I thought this was the most appropriate name.

Okay just one quick note, my blog posts may be a bit short due my health, but I’m still around, just a bit brief.
