There are so many wonderful events all coming out right now. I’ve been a busy bee lately, setting up this wonderful set and having a lot of fun. So I’m not going to procrastinate… I  will get into what everyone wants to know… where did you get xyz.

My whole set, except for the pose is from one of my favorite events in August.. You guessed it. Collabor88’s birthday bash. I love love love this event. I really can’t gush about it enough. As I write this, I still have things to buy from this event–that is just how good it is this round. There are many many many items in this photos, so I’m going to leave it to the credits. This blog is a little short. But I’m getting in the swing of things. And I have another event to talk about.. which is the wonderful hair fair. It opened and … I have some hair from a not so well known company or maybe it wasn’t well known to me :). But I am really excited to share with you my latest haul. As you guessed already, I’ve got some more wonderful items from Collabor88 to share with you and even a steamy pose from this latest round of pose fair. I want to say the theme of stardust may be one of my favorite themes so far with all the birthday bashes. I bought a lot of stuff from this Collabor88 round. It’s really a wonderful round, if you get a chance, check it out with a friend.

I want to take a brief moment and talk about this photo. I’m a big fan of the show Lucifer. Okay I’m totally addicted to it. I may have bought some books that have similar characters. Anyway…. when I saw these really these gorgeous wings from Yokai.. I bought them right away and knew exactly what I was going to do with them. And I saw this quote and new that it was perfect. Hopefully, you find a little bit of sinfulness at pose fair, but that’s for another blog and for another time.

Woman like me

So I’m going to make this blog a little short, since it is really early or late–depending on your perception of things. I will say this picture has me craving pizza like crazy. Thank you baguette for making the perfect virtual pizza. I think there may be a pizza in my future that is for sure.

So, I find myself a bit lonely lately, but that’s only because my schedule is very wacky at the moment. I am alone quite a bit, but I know that it will change soon–thankfully. So feeling that loneliness led me to the Einstein quote. It’s good to remind yourself that being alone is a good thing. Also I find that second life can be feast or famine sometimes. There are times where there is a ton of people to talk to and then.. sometimes the world seems a bit quiet. Feeling that I came across the quote and song (both can be found on flickr).

Moving right along to all those wonderful creations in the above picture. Most of the items in the above pick are from Collabor88 and the epiphany–both close soon. The new round of Collabor88 starts on the 8th and the epiphany closes soon. I will have to get back to you on closing dates, after I wake up :). Before I end with my credits, I know there has been so much tragedy in the US. I’m thinking of the families and the people who were senselessly killed by a shooter with no regard to life. This life is so precious and it’s sad that individuals feel as though they need to selfishly take it away. There is not enough love in the world. There’s not enough respect for life. Despite the tragedies, I will always have faith that things will change.. and one day there will be no mass shootings. Look for further posts in the future for charities to help the survivors. Keep them in your in hearts, thoughts, and prayers. ♥

Melting in the Heat

Whew, it is HAWT outside. I truly believe that.. if i could have melted… I probably would have this past week. It seems we are all feeling the heat. The weather totally knocked me out last week. The temperatures lowered. And I feel like a person again…not on fire. This past week, I felt pretty miserable from the heat like so many. Thankfully, in my real life, my animals kept me really great company. I was incredibly lucky to have them. So my pets kind of inspired this picture–chilling with ice cream and my best friend by my side. Animals are awesome like that.

Which leads me to the next topic, the adorable wolf, decor, and fantastic summer clothes, I must talk about it all. There are a TON of items in this picture. As I was writing down all my credits in a notecard, I realized that… I may just need to mention briefly the events. Most of the items featured above are from Collabor88 and the latest round at the Epiphany. I have to say.. I really adore this outfit. I don’t want to take it off. This cute little romper by Aleutia, hair from monso, earrings from Max Gossamer, glasses by fetch are all from Collabor88. My decor comes from so many wonderful companies: Ice cream and inner tube from Dahlia, cat bag and gun from Tentacio, gloves from foxwood, and way too many to list in this paragraph. As I melted from heat in real life, I really just wanted to be by the beach with an ice cream cone, a water gun.. and may be a furry friend by my side. July has been the month where I haven’t been online much. I am going to have more time, since some things in my real life have slowed down. I had family that had an adoption go through. So I’ve spent some nights talking to family and sharing pictures of the little guy. We’re all thrilled. But now, I can sit down relax and kind of get into the groove of blogging again. Sparkles and Unicorns

There’s some really great shopping across the grid, but one event that has massively inspired me lately is the fantasy fair. It ends May 5th, so you have some time. To be honest, I had no clue what to do for my next post, and then this fair popped up. It supports a great cause–The American Society–relay for life.

Cancer research has been very important to me. I also know that many others feel that same passion to find a cure. I had a friend once say that she believed everyone knows someone effected by this horrible diagnosis. And I think so too. For me personally, both of my grandmothers passed from lung cancer and a family friend was also taken to soon from lung cancer. So this cause has always been one that personally means a lot to me. Check out the fair, you can help in the fight. If you want something whimsical, please check out the fantasy fair. Your lindens support such an important organization. This beautiful unicorn is by Teegle. It really is gorgeous and a lot of fun to ride. I’ve been having fun riding my unicorn all week. She even inspired my land and decor.

Now, I want to get into the rest of my outfit. My hair is SINTIKIA and it’s called Titania. My lingerie is by The Secret Store–Tabatha Bodysuit. The detailing on the bodysuit is absolutely beautiful. My headband is from the wonderful Dahlia–Emma. The ribbons in the background are from Half Deer and the single ribbons can be individually tinted. Things in Bloom

I’m going to keep this blog short, because I need to. I’m sorry everyone. When I feel a bit better, I’ll write a long post.

However since there are so many events featured in this post, I want to go over them very briefly. As you can see a lot of items came from this month’s bloom event. I also visited Collabor88, whore couture, kustom9, shiny shabby, and FaMESHed. Whew, yup I did some major retail therapy. I also bought a ton of items from Tentacio. I keep loving everything they create lately. It’s just flat out beautiful. Ariskea has also made some really great items. Nutmeg is a long time favorite of mine. I can’t rave about them enough. I buy everything they make. I’m not even ashamed. Foxwood, Apple fall, Granola, and HEXtraordinary also made some great pieces that all work really well together. My hair from SINTIKLIA has also become a new favorite. I love their hair. My pants from cynful are extremely elegant, and my top from Bombshell is incredibly sexy. Last but certainly not least is my pose from Cuca Designs, which is featured at whore couture fair. It only has a few more days so you will have to hurry. I have to say that she has made a handful of very sweet poses and they really are incredibly wonderful. All of the items in this picture will be used again. I’m certain of it. Truly, designers.. I’m looking forward to spring. All of your creations have been very beautiful. Thank you for making pretty pretty pretty things for me to buy ♥

Sweet Dreams

I have been really busy this past week in all worlds. I’ve taken pictures and built sets. And I finally get that moment to really sit down and think about this blog post. As soon as, I saw the backdrop from foxcity at Collabor88, I knew right away that I would make a dreamy post with sweet treats. So I really have looked forward to this post.

Normally on Valentine’s day, I send out photos ..a valentine’s day card. But this year, I indulged in sweet treats in real life, savoring each wonderful bite and I really did just enjoy the day. Instead, I opted for a delectable treats and a day of rest instead.

I love valentine’s day and wanted to do a month of sweet dreamy posts. I wanted to get lost in the moment of happiness. And maybe make a post inspired by legally blond. I love that movie. And I would be lying, if I said that movie wasn’t my muse. It totally was. There’s a scene where Elle Woods is sitting in her bed eating chocolate, after a break up. I think many people have gone through that upset. For some reason, second life seemed to curse a lot of my friends this past month. And that scene is one that always comes to mind, when I think of break ups–maybe because I’ve been there before. Who hasn’t?

This month has been nothing of love and hearts inworld for me personally, but in my dreams..and my pictures it was sweet sailing. So I let my love of all things sweet inspire me and a scene covered in pink–despite the sadness. I think even in that scene.. one can see the hope. Her friends coming to pull her out of her funk. Second life can be like that…so much. We go through a hard break with a friend, significant other, partner, etc, and we get Elle Woods in that moment. But it’s nice to see the hope through our friends.

What made my valentine’s day sweet inworld? It was my friends saying things that I needed to hear… not what I wanted to hear. It was the people who surrounded me in all things pink and reminded me that mistakes don’t define you. Anger is only temporary. And there are moments of calm. So maybe you have been touched by the second life Valentine’s Day curse. This post is for you my friend. I’m here to say, this too shall pass. Keep dreaming sweet things. Maybe indulge in something sweet in real life. If you can’t have that sweet treat in real life, maybe opt for something that you love to do instead. Whatever you do, just make sure to do something that makes you smile. And remember forgiveness is important, not for the other person, but for yourself. Holding on to anger and resentment only hurts us that much more in the end.

I came to the conclusion of what to write by a show called One Day At A Time. It’s about a Latino family living in Los Angeles, with all of its ups and downs of life. In one of the episodes, there was a woman struggling with anxiety. Recently, I’ve dealt with my own anxiety, during bad moments of pain. It can be scary and hard, especially when you can’t breath. But it was in that moment, I realized the importance of second life being a calm place. This isn’t a space where I want to be angry at anyone. My body makes me angry enough. This isn’t the place for it. And in that, I found forgiveness. I forgave anyone in that moment, because anger no longer served me. I can only hope that moment of clarity comes to others. It’s a gift. And if you seek a peaceful second life, it all starts within.

Before I end this blog post, I want to go into my fabulous outfit. My shirt, cardigan, skirt, and shoes are all by the fantastic Eliavah. She has really out done herself with this outfit. The texture and colors are so pretty. I felt soft and feminine. I just want to go out in the town and party the night away in this outfit. I have always loved the movie A Little Princess.. the version made in the nineties. Some of the most beautiful scenes are in that movie. I loved the story about a girl having a wild imagination. It’s such a lovely thing to live in a world of imagination and magic. There’s just something about that story that I love. For me, this quote means a lot to me. It gives a certain kind of hope. And I like books and movies that promote hope. If we lose hope, we lose the possibility of making those dreams and beliefs true. Hope drives us to go after goals. It inspires us to try. When we try…is when we truly live. So never give up hope.

As I saw ads for the epiphany, I knew right away what I wanted to do. I’m really excited to do this photo. It’s kind of my take on a sleep over with all things pretty. I probably would set this scene up in my house, if I had the money for all those flowers. Hey flowers are expensive!! But thankfully, it’s much easier to make this in second life.

I really want to thank everyone for making such cute things. I have to thank Eliavah for making this truly fantastic outfit. This is hawt and I love it. I like the ruffles at the top of the shirt, the color, and the fit. It made me feel extremely girly. Eliavah is selling this outfit at the epiphany. So you too can take a chance on her gacha. Kalopsia is selling the Cleo set–the pink lamp and mirror at collabor88. Lamb made this great hair which is also available at collabor88. Disorderly created cozy piles which is available at collabor88 as well. You can see it in front of my tent.. the cookies and magazines. It is all linked together. I absolutely adore it. A Bit of Down Time

 

 

 

 

If you are feeling some December blues, or even depression, don’t fight it. Instead, do something for yourself. Be reflective. Let the emotions exist. And be encouraged that, like me, you can get to a better place, but it can take time. Brad Feld

Tomorrow is blue Monday. It’s statistically the saddest day of the year. Be patient with those who are a little bit sadder or struggling. Depression is a hard illness. I was made aware of it by a real life friend. Even during happy times, sometimes people can feel a little bit blue.

Being in a virtual world, I think everyone has come in contact with someone who struggles with depression.  A lot of times, you feel like you want to help, but don’t know how. But yet..sometimes the best thing anyone can do is to just listen. And sometimes people try to hide it. Just being there for people helps a lot.

It’s not an easy thing to go and ask for help. It’s not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength though. The reason I bring this up is because this is the time of year people seem to struggle the most. Sometimes you try to smile brighter, be funnier, and hide behind every negative emotion. Yet on the inside, you have a looming cloud of darkness, over shadowing you. It is always okay to ask for help. And you are never alone. So if you are like many out there dealing with depression, please seek help and treatment. Seek out a trusted friend. There is always someone out there willing to listen.

Now that being said, I’d like to talk about this picture. Collabor88 has some really great stuff this round. My robe and lingerie are from Mossu. I absolutely love this entire outfit. Upside down Christmas

 

I like to turn things upside down, to watch pictures and situations from another perspective. Ursus Wehrli

As the year comes to a close, many people find themselves looking back in the past. Maybe sometimes, they even see things with new eyes. And I am no exception. I’ve been looking at things differently too.

I’ve been a little obsessed with pictures that can be flipped upside down and viewed as another picture–in another angle. A long time ago, when I was in grade school, I had a teacher put a picture in front of the class and ask… “What do you see in this picture?” Many of us saw a witch, but many people saw another picture, yet both answers were correct. Even this week, I looked at a rock near a pond, but when the picture was flipped upside down, it didn’t look like a rock near a pond. I also googled upside down Christmas trees (who knew this was an actual thing!). This all started my own little project that I’ve been working on for about a week.

Since I was on a kick about upside down pictures, I decided to create my own. Many may see everything falling towards the ceiling, but yet if you flip it right side up…… You may see a girl leaping through the air and about to jump on ….someone, kicking things out of the way–perhaps a loved one being greeted at the door. It’s all about perspective. It’s how we interpret the world around us that truly matters. It’s how we see situations that happen to us. Our view may be entirely different than how others see things. I think that’s an important part of second life–how we view things that happen to us….vs. how others see things. It truly makes a difference. After a year has passed, we have new eyes and a new perspective on the events that passed.

This past year, I’ve had amazing experiences inworld, but I have battled demons in real life. Life is a beautiful thing, because it is always changing. Second life and real life move in cycles. Meaning… demons will be silenced. Amazing experiences come to an end–and then there are only new beginnings. There will be new people and new opportunities.

Despite the hope of the future though, there’s always the shadow of the past to contend with. It can leave bitterness in its wake. Bitterness can be accompanied with fear. It’s like moving to take a step, but putting your foot right back where it was. Fear can stop you literally in your tracks. Bitterness can make you turn away from new people, opportunities, and experiences. I think that’s one of the  hardest things in life, not letting negative emotions rule you. We all have to find ways to overcome the past. There’s no one right or wrong answer. Everything comes in time. The thing about time is that it’s always moving forward… never backwards. And we all will move forward one way or another, so why not silence that fear and bitterness—replace it with hope. We hope for a better tomorrow, because there are bound to be more good moments ahead of us.

So for 2019, we should leave the fear and bitterness behind us, lets drink to hope and love instead. We should move forward to the days ahead of us, because in the end…. time is precious. Lets not waste it on negative emotions, lets party and celebrate all the good things and hopeful new beginnings.

And that girl in the photo falling and yet leaping for a loved one–both are right. Holidays never go as they are “suppose” to. It always leaves us grasping for more into a free fall, yet we’re always grounded by the people… or even furry little animals that love us. Toast to love and hope this New Years. The best part of any story is always love and hope.

Normally, I don’t post a picture and credits first, BUT I have been a very busy girl in all world. As you can see above, I’ve been busy shopping and decorating (in both worlds!). I debated making this two separate posts. But I took the first picture and then received a few things from one of my sponsors and I wanted to make it a series. And so here we are.

There are a TON of great shopping right now. I’ve been to Kustom9, Tannenbaum, The Arcade, Uber, The epiphany, and black friday shopping.. whew so much shopping. And I did some real life shopping too….my poor wallet. But as you can see, I’ve been super busy planning this photo. This holiday season, you will see warm and cozy posts, featuring some great pieces by creators. They have surely been working super hard and it shows.

I’ve had some worried friends online and I want to assure everyone… I really am okay. I’ve been really busy in both worlds. Managing the holidays and physical therapy is definitely challenging. And I’ve had a few tough days thrown into the mix. Things will calm down soon. I’m sure of it. But I am working hard to create pictures that  I can be proud of.. and I hope that you like them too.

I have included all of my credits, below the photos. I thought this may be a bit easier to navigate due to the amount of items in each picture. My theme for this month with Peace, love, and joy. I encourage all residents to put issues aside, come together, and be friendly. Peace on Earth …good will toward one another is the true essence of the holidays. Lets love one another enough to care about each other. We can not live without the help of each other…and humanity can be a beautiful gorgeous part of life, when we seek the positive out of life. I hope you fill your heart with love and share that love with others this wonderful holiday season
