Okay so I have been MIA. My birthday was this month and my friends decided to give me a few surprises, since I had an incredibly rough year. It was a welcomed break, during a tough time. I am grateful for friends and family in all worlds.

Sooooo lets get into the deep discussion that is my picture, just kidding it’s not that serious. Collabor88’s theme this month is dreams. At first I was totally at a loss for ideas, but I dug deep for some inspiration and looked at everything those wonderful designers out there created. I couldn’t help feeling like a naughty alice in wonderland with a hint of innocence. There are so so many designers in this picture. Instead of listing all of them in here.. in this paragraph, I will list them down below. The eccentric work leads to the craving for halloween and all things creative. I have to say.. I was loving this round. It was out of the box and a little different. It got my own creative juices flowing in the end. Everything in this photo is from Collabor88.. right down to my hair.

We Rise

As you can tell, I’m having this wonderful love affair with this real life show, which is soooo inspiring my photos. I’ve had a lot of fun dressing up as these angels lately. I couldn’t do it without some amazing designers…. AND HAIR FAIR!

Ladies and gentleman, lets talk about some HAIR!! So as you know hair fair opened on the 17th. I’ve been sitting on some amazing AMAZING HAIR. So with further ado, lets talk about this new wig of mine. I am currently wearing hair from Chain. And you can definitely find this wig at HAIR FAIR! The company is new to me, but I can tell you that.. I really do adore their hair. I’ve always loved this hairstyle, but I had issues with it from different companies in the past. Maybe my head is just too big.. who knows. BUT.. Chain did it up right. It had a dutch braid on both sides of the head and then cut off by a band, creating a ponytail in the back. My wonderful and amazing dress is from Rowne and my shoes are from Rebel Gal. I love love love this combo.The shoes and dress are both available at.. yup you guessed it Collabor88. And finally my necklaces and earrings are from LaGyo which is available at Collabor88. Omg.. this round is to die for.. Oh my gosh.. I am so in love with C88. I’m hearting them hard right now. If you notice my rings on my fingers. They’re from yummy and you can find them at ..again Collabor88. So hair fair closes on the first of September and collabor88 ends their round on the 7th. So you have to hurry to get your wigs on and hair fair. Please don’t forget HAIR FAIR supports wigs for kids. This is such a great cause. A portion of the proceeds go to this wonderful charity.

Bad Guy

 

Heroes aren’t supposed to do bad things. That’s what villains are for. So either the good supersedes the bad, or the bad makes it impossible to remember the good. We don’t like it when such duality exists in one person. We don’t want to know our heroes are human. LZ Granderson

So I am a HUGE marvel fan. There’s nothing better in the summer than seeing movies about heroes and villains. And I have yet to see Endgame, but I am so  going to see it. I love the ideas of good guys/gals and bad guys/gals. But I have to say…. I love when the hero is the person that you would least expect.. or even when the villain is the person you least expect. There’s something great about that dynamic. I’ve always wanted to play the bad guy in a photo. And this picture definitely gave me that opportunity. To say that I was excited to do this picture is definitely an understatement. This was the day.. I ruined Alisha’s dress.

Okay, I am going to jump right into all the wonderful companies that helped me play the bad guy for at least an hour, during this photo shoot. Lets start off with my ever so gorgeous sweater. It’s sexy and surprising, also really fun to wear. It’s by eliavah and available in her mainstore. I admit that it was an earlier release in an event, but I was unable to get to blogging, due to real life responsibilities. Anyway, moving right along here, now these sexy hawt shorts are by Mossu and you can find this super comfy summer necessity at Collabor88. My gorgeous hair is by Doux and you can pick up this wig at Equal 10. Finally my mask is by the great vinyl, and you can pick it up in their mainstore. Now on to , the beautiful Ali, her dress and boots are from collabor88. the dress is from Emery and her sexy boots are from Empire. The glam hair is from again the wonderful company Doux and you can find it at this month’s Access. Also her jewelry and blindfold also come from collabor88. The blindfold is from LaGyo and her sexy naughty jewelry is from Bueno.

Now, I would like to talk about this really great scene. The backdrop comes from Boys to the bone and is located in the top floor of their mainstore. I was really surprised that this really funky backdrop was by boys to the bone, but I really like it and can see myself using it as part of my decor on my land–not just as a backdrop. Okay, okay, I HAVE to talk about the really fun van. DRD created this van awhile ago and I’ve been dying to make it part of one of my blog posts. It’s called.. wait for it.. the Joint Delivery van. The van even comes with a stoned animation. I have to say this may be one of my favorite funky things in my inventory. I am a little biased though. About a year ago, I was put on a medical cannabis program, due to my increasing pain levels. I was against it for a very long time, until I myself needed this drug to function on some levels. It has given me quality of life and the ability to go out and enjoy life–it’s more than just smoking it. It has topicals and CBN infused bandages for sleep. It helps a lot of people and does a lot of good. I am now a medical cannabis advocate in my real life, because of my own experience. Okay now onto my shopping cart, it’s by anxiety and found at their mainstore.. again it comes with some great poses. It’s nice for pictures but can also be used for decor. Finally, the maitress in the background is by anc and this too can be found at their mainstore.

Whew, thank you for sticking with me through all of thattttt. I know that was a lot of items to go through, but it takes a lot of creators to make wonderful products for photos. Without them, I would never be able to take such fun pictures, so I am always thankful for their time and effort.

Sweet Dreams

I have been really busy this past week in all worlds. I’ve taken pictures and built sets. And I finally get that moment to really sit down and think about this blog post. As soon as, I saw the backdrop from foxcity at Collabor88, I knew right away that I would make a dreamy post with sweet treats. So I really have looked forward to this post.

Normally on Valentine’s day, I send out photos ..a valentine’s day card. But this year, I indulged in sweet treats in real life, savoring each wonderful bite and I really did just enjoy the day. Instead, I opted for a delectable treats and a day of rest instead.

I love valentine’s day and wanted to do a month of sweet dreamy posts. I wanted to get lost in the moment of happiness. And maybe make a post inspired by legally blond. I love that movie. And I would be lying, if I said that movie wasn’t my muse. It totally was. There’s a scene where Elle Woods is sitting in her bed eating chocolate, after a break up. I think many people have gone through that upset. For some reason, second life seemed to curse a lot of my friends this past month. And that scene is one that always comes to mind, when I think of break ups–maybe because I’ve been there before. Who hasn’t?

This month has been nothing of love and hearts inworld for me personally, but in my dreams..and my pictures it was sweet sailing. So I let my love of all things sweet inspire me and a scene covered in pink–despite the sadness. I think even in that scene.. one can see the hope. Her friends coming to pull her out of her funk. Second life can be like that…so much. We go through a hard break with a friend, significant other, partner, etc, and we get Elle Woods in that moment. But it’s nice to see the hope through our friends.

What made my valentine’s day sweet inworld? It was my friends saying things that I needed to hear… not what I wanted to hear. It was the people who surrounded me in all things pink and reminded me that mistakes don’t define you. Anger is only temporary. And there are moments of calm. So maybe you have been touched by the second life Valentine’s Day curse. This post is for you my friend. I’m here to say, this too shall pass. Keep dreaming sweet things. Maybe indulge in something sweet in real life. If you can’t have that sweet treat in real life, maybe opt for something that you love to do instead. Whatever you do, just make sure to do something that makes you smile. And remember forgiveness is important, not for the other person, but for yourself. Holding on to anger and resentment only hurts us that much more in the end.

I came to the conclusion of what to write by a show called One Day At A Time. It’s about a Latino family living in Los Angeles, with all of its ups and downs of life. In one of the episodes, there was a woman struggling with anxiety. Recently, I’ve dealt with my own anxiety, during bad moments of pain. It can be scary and hard, especially when you can’t breath. But it was in that moment, I realized the importance of second life being a calm place. This isn’t a space where I want to be angry at anyone. My body makes me angry enough. This isn’t the place for it. And in that, I found forgiveness. I forgave anyone in that moment, because anger no longer served me. I can only hope that moment of clarity comes to others. It’s a gift. And if you seek a peaceful second life, it all starts within.

Before I end this blog post, I want to go into my fabulous outfit. My shirt, cardigan, skirt, and shoes are all by the fantastic Eliavah. She has really out done herself with this outfit. The texture and colors are so pretty. I felt soft and feminine. I just want to go out in the town and party the night away in this outfit. Sleep Over

I have always loved the movie A Little Princess.. the version made in the nineties. Some of the most beautiful scenes are in that movie. I loved the story about a girl having a wild imagination. It’s such a lovely thing to live in a world of imagination and magic. There’s just something about that story that I love. For me, this quote means a lot to me. It gives a certain kind of hope. And I like books and movies that promote hope. If we lose hope, we lose the possibility of making those dreams and beliefs true. Hope drives us to go after goals. It inspires us to try. When we try…is when we truly live. So never give up hope.

As I saw ads for the epiphany, I knew right away what I wanted to do. I’m really excited to do this photo. It’s kind of my take on a sleep over with all things pretty. I probably would set this scene up in my house, if I had the money for all those flowers. Hey flowers are expensive!! But thankfully, it’s much easier to make this in second life.

I really want to thank everyone for making such cute things. I have to thank Eliavah for making this truly fantastic outfit. This is hawt and I love it. I like the ruffles at the top of the shirt, the color, and the fit. It made me feel extremely girly. Eliavah is selling this outfit at the epiphany. So you too can take a chance on her gacha. New beginnings

 

 

 

 

And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been. Rainer Maria Rilke

The holidays were a whirl wind. They had the ability to sneak up on me, when I least expected it. Before you know it, I was ordering presents, sending out baked goods (made by someone else of course), and wrapping gifts to place under my tree. I blinked right into a new year. Christmas day was a complete blur. New Year’s was a very welcomed new Beginning.

I usually do a year in review. But last year was one of those years.. I have no problem forgetting. It seemed like if it could go wrong, then it did. I had a close friend of mine tell me recently that not all years will be great. Some will be awesome. Some will be rough. Some will be frustrating.. Some will be.. well you get the point. The only thing you can do is fight like hell for happy moments and make the most of them.

I am working hard in real life and in second life to just be happy at the moment. Taking pictures is part of that process, so ..I really enjoyed taking this picture. And I hope others can see that. A few years ago, I always went out for New Years. I really wanted to portray that party scene with this picture. I couldn’t do that without the latest events, which leads me into my next topic…

The pose fair opened and this round seems to be even better than the last, and my favorite.. collabor88 also opened. A friend of mine has some really fun poses for sale. The poses in the picture are from Cuca@Design and the backdrop is from Illuzion, which are all available at the pose fair. Okay before I forget this, I want to make a quick note. Recently.. and bear with me, I watched a Taylor Swift concert on Netflix. Say what you will, about her…but her show was a lot of fun to watch. She talked about having a reputation. And there’s been a lot of discussion about reputations (it’s the name of her stadium tour). A reputation is none of our business. People will say things. Work hard. Ignore it. Your friends will know you. Sometimes you just have to focus on yourself and not worry about what is said about you. Work hard. Be good at what you do. People will love you. People will hate you, but how you feel about yourself is way more important. Her performance was just sort of magical… but I have a thing for dancing and singing. I like a good show. And… can someone please make a gold snake microphone.. kind of love that…  Yeah I had to write this article.. because that microphone was awesome. Also, I think it’s always good to have your own experiences with people, before you judge them–but that’s just me. The picture above was inspired by her concert. Oh and… always take anger and put it into something productive♥♥♥ Okay.. now that my thoughts have exploded on this page….  go shopping and buy those awesome things!!

Quick note.. For the best results with the poses, please make sure to take off all huds and turn off all hand controls through the main and the hand hud . The right hand of the pose is suppose to have straight fingers. I tried multiply times with the Firestorm viewer and the only way to get the fingers to straighten was to take off every hud and turn off hand movements. My apologies to Cuca@Designs. I tried turning them off the hand pose through the maitreya hud and the separate hand hud, but it failed. And I did not realize it until the picture was posted.

Upside down Christmas

 

I like to turn things upside down, to watch pictures and situations from another perspective. Ursus Wehrli

As the year comes to a close, many people find themselves looking back in the past. Maybe sometimes, they even see things with new eyes. And I am no exception. I’ve been looking at things differently too.

I’ve been a little obsessed with pictures that can be flipped upside down and viewed as another picture–in another angle. A long time ago, when I was in grade school, I had a teacher put a picture in front of the class and ask… “What do you see in this picture?” Many of us saw a witch, but many people saw another picture, yet both answers were correct. Even this week, I looked at a rock near a pond, but when the picture was flipped upside down, it didn’t look like a rock near a pond. I also googled upside down Christmas trees (who knew this was an actual thing!). This all started my own little project that I’ve been working on for about a week.

Since I was on a kick about upside down pictures, I decided to create my own. Many may see everything falling towards the ceiling, but yet if you flip it right side up…… You may see a girl leaping through the air and about to jump on ….someone, kicking things out of the way–perhaps a loved one being greeted at the door. It’s all about perspective. It’s how we interpret the world around us that truly matters. It’s how we see situations that happen to us. Our view may be entirely different than how others see things. I think that’s an important part of second life–how we view things that happen to us….vs. how others see things. It truly makes a difference. After a year has passed, we have new eyes and a new perspective on the events that passed.

This past year, I’ve had amazing experiences inworld, but I have battled demons in real life. Life is a beautiful thing, because it is always changing. Second life and real life move in cycles. Meaning… demons will be silenced. Amazing experiences come to an end–and then there are only new beginnings. There will be new people and new opportunities.

Despite the hope of the future though, there’s always the shadow of the past to contend with. It can leave bitterness in its wake. Bitterness can be accompanied with fear. It’s like moving to take a step, but putting your foot right back where it was. Fear can stop you literally in your tracks. Bitterness can make you turn away from new people, opportunities, and experiences. I think that’s one of the  hardest things in life, not letting negative emotions rule you. We all have to find ways to overcome the past. There’s no one right or wrong answer. Everything comes in time. The thing about time is that it’s always moving forward… never backwards. And we all will move forward one way or another, so why not silence that fear and bitterness—replace it with hope. We hope for a better tomorrow, because there are bound to be more good moments ahead of us.

So for 2019, we should leave the fear and bitterness behind us, lets drink to hope and love instead. We should move forward to the days ahead of us, because in the end…. time is precious. Lets not waste it on negative emotions, lets party and celebrate all the good things and hopeful new beginnings.

And that girl in the photo falling and yet leaping for a loved one–both are right. Holidays never go as they are “suppose” to. It always leaves us grasping for more into a free fall, yet we’re always grounded by the people… or even furry little animals that love us. Toast to love and hope this New Years. The best part of any story is always love and hope.

Lazy Morning

I’ve been quiet lately. And I’m a little late blogging this post. But, I had some living to do. It’s important to remember to enjoy moments and taking them in. Today is a snow filled lazy day. So here I am blogging away and enjoying the picturesque ambiance of silence in the snow. I generally hate snow, but I’ll take my lazy day. So like my day, my picture captures a quiet hopeful morning with breakfast in bed. Of course, I could never create such a picture without the help of designers and their amazing creations.

I’m going to jump right into the thick of it and talk about all those lovely events. Collabor88, Uber, Fameshed, and equal10 are all featured in this lovely picture. My hair is from doux which can be found at equal 10. My shirt came from Uber. My boots are from Uber and by Utopia@Design. The bed, 8 tracks, furniture, food items, and dishes are from collabor88. There are also a few food items from Uber as well. My skirt is from collabor88. The nightstand is from Fameshed. I would go into everyone of these items in detail, but real life is sneaking up on me. Generally, my blogs are a little longer, but I have been dealing with lack of sleep. So my pillow beckons me for a nap. BUT, I do like to add a moral or something important in my blogs. With Thanksgiving coming up around the corner, I wanted to again emphasize the importance of enjoying life. Family can be crazy. Friends can be difficult sometimes. BUT, these people in life are so important. It’s important to take a moment and enjoy the season… find something to be thankful for and cherish it. Every season has its beauty. Don’t let it pass you by.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died. Steven Wright

In the last few months, I’ve been using tarot cards as inspiration for my photos. So when  I made my second life Halloween inspired land… I knew that a table with tarot cards was a requirement. It has come full circle with this latest picture.

 It’s such a joy to wrap up my last series of photos up with this picture. I’m a bit of a tarot card reader. It’s something that I do for friends and family. So I wanted to take that real life interest and let that be my muse. I really love this outfit. I didn’t win this wonderful dress by candy doll at the Epiphany, but I did buy it from the marketplace. However, I did win the gorgeous wings from Candy doll’s set at the epiphany. I just had to have the dress, so I bought it. Moving right along, Zenith makes really gorgeous masks, available at Collabor88. I always get a little excited seeing a mask made by them. I know it will be stunning. When I saw this dress, I knew right away that it would pair nicely with this mask. The hair is by exile and is also available at collabor88. It’s a really great style and just down right cute. Alisha is wearing the rare hat from shadenfreude available at the Arcade. The dress and stockings are from canimal, Her hair is from doux.

Finally, a lot of the decor came from Collabor88. UnKindness created this really great furniture set to include the cabinets, books, and moon statue. The candy on the floor is from the wonderful ++half deer+…. a creator that makes the cutest things. My wallet is always handed over to this company, happily might I add. All the other items will be listed in the credits section, down below.

I know this blog post is a little short. This week has not been kind to me. Normally, I would write up a long blog post, but I need to take care of myself a bit today. But don’t you fret….. I’ll be back to semi normal in a bit.

Hello my lovely readers! I’ve had such a busy week. Life never seems to slow down. It only gets quicker over time. Speaking of time, this month flew by in a flash. There have been so many events.

Before I get into the fun of shopping on the grid, I want to talk a little bit about my quote. I think the hardest thing in life is acceptance. Life never goes as anyone plans. I’ve had to accept many things over time and my expectations in life have sometimes been fulfilled–but other times…not so much. Everyone has something they expect in life and everyone has something to accept. Michael J. Fox got this quote so right–and it will leave me thinking about it–even after this post.

To be happy, for me, I have to learn to accept the things that can not be changed. I also work on not letting my expectation effect me. If you never expect anything from anyone, they will never disappoint you. This is so much easier to read than to accept. Okay, this is my  Yoda wisdom for today.

Now, for the fun stuff, I’m talking about shopping. Kustom9 has this really pretty hair from Beusy. It also comes with a detachable headband. ISON made this gorgeous dress for Collabor88’s birthday bash. LaGyo created my nose ring and mouth piece for C88’s event as well. I adore it and I’m in love. You only have a little while though, because Collabor88 will only be open a bit longer–until it’s next round on the 8th of September.
