I’d like to give a shout out to all my amazing followers. I hit 4K a few weeks ago. I am truly astonished at how many people follow my work. I can say that I appreciate every like, follow, and award. Truly.. amazing beautiful wonderful and great… I can’t express my gratitude or express how humbled I am. thank you all again ♥♥♥♥

Okay so I have been MIA. My birthday was this month and my friends decided to give me a few surprises, since I had an incredibly rough year. It was a welcomed break, during a tough time. I am grateful for friends and family in all worlds.

Sooooo lets get into the deep discussion that is my picture, just kidding it’s not that serious. Collabor88’s theme this month is dreams. At first I was totally at a loss for ideas, but I dug deep for some inspiration and looked at everything those wonderful designers out there created. I couldn’t help feeling like a naughty alice in wonderland with a hint of innocence. There are so so many designers in this picture. Instead of listing all of them in here.. in this paragraph, I will list them down below. The eccentric work leads to the craving for halloween and all things creative. I have to say.. I was loving this round. It was out of the box and a little different. It got my own creative juices flowing in the end. Everything in this photo is from Collabor88.. right down to my hair.

So I wanted to type a quick blog towards the end of the week. There has been so many great events with some really great clothing and furniture. I just had to jump right into it and snap a quick picture of my haul.

I went to three different events for this picture: kinky, collabor88, and FaMESHed. Okay okay, okay, lets talk about this really sexy dress. Eliavah made this hawt number for Fameshed. I don’t want to take this dress off at all. It’s just that good. And the hair.. yes the hair.. omg.. Sigh. I’m kind of in love with it. Lamb made this sultry number and I knew right away that it would pair really nicely with the Eliavah dress. The hair is available at Collabor88 and again.. it’s by Lamb. The mannequin in the background is by Backbone and you can find this naughty piece of decor at Kinky.  The furniture and skybox are from anxiety. It feels incredibly rich and polished. Finally, my quote, I couldn’t resist. I felt hot and sizzling. I agree completely with this quote. I really could go on and on about how sexy this outfit is. There’s a dangerous slit that shows your legs… and even gets a bit cheeky. I’m ready to pursue and seduce in this number. So what are you waiting for? Get out there, spend some linden, bring a friend, and enjoy the shopping trip.

I Fall Apart

I’ve been away and taking an unauthorized hiatus. I needed a break from blogging simply. I also wanted to do something just for me. Some may not know, but I got my first homestead. I always wanted one and I decided to get one …just for a little while. I threw a party and booked the dj. The music was gorgeous and my friend Kas did a lovely job. All the grass is planted and the furniture is in place. I get to enjoy it a little bit, before I have to let it go.

I never wanted a club or a rp sim, but I wanted to create a space based off of speakeasies. Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved them. I loved the idea of private clubs that had to be spoken about in a hush hush manner. Speakeasies were known for organized crime, celebrities, and bad behavior all around. And who doesn’t want to pretend to be a little bad from time to time, even for a photo.

I know there was some confusion over my land lately. Some may have thought that I was bringing in dj’s on a regular basis and wanted to fill the sim with as many people as possible, but due to my rl schedule that is unfortunately not possible. I am also keeping this sim for only a short time. It is not public. It is by invite only. The reason being, I did not want to invite a ton of people, just to let everyone down, when it does close down. It was a space made for friends …and friends of friends. It is a home and a place for those close to me, as well as their friends. I’m sorry for this confusion. But it is not a regular club with events. I’m sorry to everyone. I do apologize. I also want to add that a homestead was on my sl bucket list (no I’m not leaving). But there are things that I have always wanted to do inworld. I had an opportunity to do so and I took it. We all have dreams that are realistic and attainable… this one was mine. Again, I am sorry for the confusion.

Now that this business is over with, I’d like to discuss shopping. this month… collabor88, kustom9, and the whore couture fair. I will be covering all of these wonderful places. There’s some really great shopping out there right now. The wonderful dress, shoes, and even hair are all available at Collabor88. This round is spectacular. I really don’t want to change out of this dress. It’s by Rowne and available at collabor88. My hair is from Lamb, and my shoes are from……anxiety. Whatttt? I deal with building walls and not wanting to knock them down. Sometimes… you only hurt yourself in the end. Even if you need that wall, don’t ever fear knocking it down, when you’re done with it. Emotional walls protect us, but they also prevent us from being happy–doesn’t matter if it’s sl or rl. That’s my food for thought.

Sleep Over

I have always loved the movie A Little Princess.. the version made in the nineties. Some of the most beautiful scenes are in that movie. I loved the story about a girl having a wild imagination. It’s such a lovely thing to live in a world of imagination and magic. There’s just something about that story that I love. For me, this quote means a lot to me. It gives a certain kind of hope. And I like books and movies that promote hope. If we lose hope, we lose the possibility of making those dreams and beliefs true. Hope drives us to go after goals. It inspires us to try. When we try…is when we truly live. So never give up hope.

As I saw ads for the epiphany, I knew right away what I wanted to do. I’m really excited to do this photo. It’s kind of my take on a sleep over with all things pretty. I probably would set this scene up in my house, if I had the money for all those flowers. Hey flowers are expensive!! But thankfully, it’s much easier to make this in second life.

I really want to thank everyone for making such cute things. I have to thank Eliavah for making this truly fantastic outfit. This is hawt and I love it. I like the ruffles at the top of the shirt, the color, and the fit. It made me feel extremely girly. Eliavah is selling this outfit at the epiphany. So you too can take a chance on her gacha. Kalopsia is selling the Cleo set–the pink lamp and mirror at collabor88. Lamb made this great hair which is also available at collabor88. Upside down Christmas

 

I like to turn things upside down, to watch pictures and situations from another perspective. Ursus Wehrli

As the year comes to a close, many people find themselves looking back in the past. Maybe sometimes, they even see things with new eyes. And I am no exception. I’ve been looking at things differently too.

I’ve been a little obsessed with pictures that can be flipped upside down and viewed as another picture–in another angle. A long time ago, when I was in grade school, I had a teacher put a picture in front of the class and ask… “What do you see in this picture?” Many of us saw a witch, but many people saw another picture, yet both answers were correct. Even this week, I looked at a rock near a pond, but when the picture was flipped upside down, it didn’t look like a rock near a pond. I also googled upside down Christmas trees (who knew this was an actual thing!). This all started my own little project that I’ve been working on for about a week.

Since I was on a kick about upside down pictures, I decided to create my own. Many may see everything falling towards the ceiling, but yet if you flip it right side up…… You may see a girl leaping through the air and about to jump on ….someone, kicking things out of the way–perhaps a loved one being greeted at the door. It’s all about perspective. It’s how we interpret the world around us that truly matters. It’s how we see situations that happen to us. Our view may be entirely different than how others see things. I think that’s an important part of second life–how we view things that happen to us….vs. how others see things. It truly makes a difference. After a year has passed, we have new eyes and a new perspective on the events that passed.

This past year, I’ve had amazing experiences inworld, but I have battled demons in real life. Life is a beautiful thing, because it is always changing. Second life and real life move in cycles. Meaning… demons will be silenced. Amazing experiences come to an end–and then there are only new beginnings. There will be new people and new opportunities.

Despite the hope of the future though, there’s always the shadow of the past to contend with. It can leave bitterness in its wake. Bitterness can be accompanied with fear. It’s like moving to take a step, but putting your foot right back where it was. Fear can stop you literally in your tracks. Bitterness can make you turn away from new people, opportunities, and experiences. I think that’s one of the  hardest things in life, not letting negative emotions rule you. We all have to find ways to overcome the past. There’s no one right or wrong answer. Everything comes in time. The thing about time is that it’s always moving forward… never backwards. And we all will move forward one way or another, so why not silence that fear and bitterness—replace it with hope. We hope for a better tomorrow, because there are bound to be more good moments ahead of us.

So for 2019, we should leave the fear and bitterness behind us, lets drink to hope and love instead. We should move forward to the days ahead of us, because in the end…. time is precious. Lets not waste it on negative emotions, lets party and celebrate all the good things and hopeful new beginnings.

And that girl in the photo falling and yet leaping for a loved one–both are right. Holidays never go as they are “suppose” to. It always leaves us grasping for more into a free fall, yet we’re always grounded by the people… or even furry little animals that love us. Toast to love and hope this New Years. The best part of any story is always love and hope.

Towards the Light

This past weekend, I had some time to read some poetry. I wanted to read some Walt Whitman and came across this quote. It really spoke to me. I think focusing on the positive and leaving behind the negative helps to guide us to a better place. Sometimes we all need those little reminders (especially around the holidays). It’s easy to focus on the chaos of having a ton of people around or even the past with those people. But it’s important to focus on the moment… the ability to have a meal with people that you’re close with. As you can imagine, I have thanksgiving on my mind. So my pictures may reflect that a little bit, like this one–a nice sunny autumn day. They are always a welcome break from the cold gray winter days, and it’s important to focus on those sunny moments too, rather than take them for granted.

As you can see, I’m a bit reflective. It is the month to reflect and be thankful for all the good things that surround you. There is good in the world, even on the darkest of days. But we have to always look towards the light to let it guide us. Maybe it’s the sunshine that breaking through my window, after a month of rain. I feel pretty good about that sunshine.

Because I am a bit happy, I wanted to capture a joyful and restful picture. I really love this outfit. Honestly, if I could wear this in real life, I would. It’s just that good. It’s so cute. Makeup is not just an sl passion of mine. It really carries over into all worlds. So I love that there are options becoming available for the genus’s head.

I’ve been putting off this blog post for a little while. This past week has been stressful inworld for photographers, bloggers, and creators. Flickr is imposing new rules, turning out community upside down. There are some changes going on and I’d like to touch upon a few things.

Many residents are now switching to Instagram over Flickr. Last week, Flickr announced a cap of a 1,000 pictures on free accounts. Residents are now expected to label pictures as screen shots as well, meaning that groups need to change their settings to allow screenshots. And if you link pictures to any form of business, you must be pro to do so, which leads me to my next topic. Many bloggers link their pictures to events inworld, which deals with an exchange of funds. So to be safe, I paid for pro. Other bloggers should consider going pro or to instagram.

As soon as I heard of the changes, I sought out my fellow bloggers, creators, and photographers. Many of them have decided to create accounts on Instagram. I am also now there as well. I am also contemplating starting a tumblr blog as an extension to my blog.

Many may not realize it.. but.. Instagram has very strict rules about nudity and depictions of sex…as well as sex itself. I would highly suggest that residents use Tumblr, if you’re a blogger, photographer, or creator who creates things of the X rated nature, then tumblr is a good option to display such works. I don’t always just  blog pg and g rated material and will let my followers know of any addition to social media platforms to display my work. But for the time being, you can find me on Flickr and Instagram.

In time, things will calm down a bit. Life will return to normal. But for now, we’re all experiencing some changes. It will take time. I want to remind everyone that humor is helpful in those stressful moments.. and… well chocolate.

Normally, I would have blogged Uber by now, but setting up an Instagram account took some getting use to. I know excuses..excuses. But I’m here now!! I swear! And I’m getting into the swing of things once again.

To relieve some stress, I headed over to Uber and Fameshed. A lot of my decor was purchased from both of these events. My entire outfit is from Uber. I saw this wonderful corseted dress by Junbug at Uber. I also found this great eyeshadow by Veechi and hair from Lamb. My boots are also available at Uber. They’re made by Reign. Foxwood created this really great set of furniture. I very rarely buy fatpacks for furniture, but I did pick up the fatpack. It is fast becoming some of my favorite pieces this fall season. I headed over to Fameshed and found the weathered chair, sconce and coat rack from DRD. Before I forget, I also bought a wine cart from peaches and the mirror by Sayo, both are available at uber. Last but not least, the skybox is from Semipiternal. I knew that this skybox was perfect for my dark inspired after sexy Halloween picture.

Most times, I take very clean pictures, but I do enjoy taking pictures of a naughtier nature at times. I love this outfit. It makes me feel soft, yet sexy and bold. I think there is nothing better than being able to express oneself. I’ve seen many people discuss nudity and sex in second life. I don’t shy away from it, yet I embrace it. I walk a very fine line.

Speaking of walking that fine line of sex and nudity. This really hawt pose is by Cuca Designs. You can find this great pose at her mainstore. It’s located on the second floor. I’ve always enjoyed taking femdom inspired pictures. I like the idea of being a woman who is strong and powerful. It’s reclaiming sexuality and strength with no apologies. So often women shy away from their inner goddess within. I don’t believe in hiding it. I never will. So I will let my pictures serve as its own mistress, dancing with my imagination. I’ll capture the moment and let my memory serve to preserve the past.

In closing, I want to say that no matter what you struggle with in any world, you are much stronger than you think This past week has tested me in every possible way. Sometimes the best way to deal with struggle is taking a moment for yourself and doing something that you enjoy. I was reminded this week the importance of taking time for myself, planning visits with friends in that other realms that we call real life.  I hope that if you notice the signs of feeling overly stressed, that you take a moment for yourself. I highly recommend Lost Girl on Netflix and Sabrina.. those were my poisons of choice this past week. Okay enough of that, enjoy shopping and bring a friend along.

Okay, first and for most… 3,000 followers!!!!! Say whaattttttttt? I can not believe that so many people follow me. BUT I will say that I’m thankful for every follow, like, and words of praise. Truly thank you for supporting me and my work. I am truly touched. I really can’t believe the amount of people who follow me. I can’t stop smiling today. I’m in shock. So one last time, thank you everyone truly ♥♥♥♥.

Now that we got THAT out of the way, I have to talk about Uber. I loved this round and I just kept on buying things, as you can see by this picture. I bought this really great backdrop by Foxes, Safia–little get away and cactus is also from Foxes. It really is more than a backdrop. It’s a great little cabana. Foxes is also selling the chairs and the bird on the post. The blond is also wearing a bikini from Foxes. Their entire stall is absolutely amazing. I fell in love with everything and I HAD to buy it. Now onto the clothes, Tee*fy made this great skirt and there are a ton of color options available, which pairs nicely with my cami from The Secret Store–also at Uber. I also bought the earings from Mandala. And finally, I bought this picnic set up by peaches, ….which… you guessed it–are also available at Uber. It’s not an event to miss.

In addition to some really great clothes and furniture from Uber, I also headed over to Lelutka to buy their new ice cream and bubble gum items, which are interactive with your avi. The ice cream leaves behind some of the sweet treat on your lips, for you messy eaters out there. The bubble gum pops all over your face, after blowing a huge bubble. I had to have these two items and bought them right away. Lelutka also released two new interactive items–the cotton candy and lollipop at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair. It’s not an event that I usually go to, but a few friends of mine let me in on the new items that were released. As soon as I found out, I had to buy it right away. I really do enjoy these items, and I recommend them. I only have one issue with the ice cream, which is that it does seem to go into my skull, when I eat it. As for the rest, I’ll have to get back to you in another blog post.

Finally, I chose this quote because of the amount of people following me. I’m in awe and disbelief. If you had asked me if I would ever get to this point as a photographer years ago, I would have told you no way. But it really does show you that if you stick with something and try really hard to improve over time…. you can and will improve—and learn a few things about yourself and your craft. I’ve also been really vocal about having health problems. Success at blogging despite all the days dealing with my health issues, well I can tell you it’s a reminder to continue in life–no matter what difficulties that I may face. Sometimes you have to do what you can and keep trying. It will be worth it, in the end. I use my photography as a personal reminder what ambition can achieve. You never know what you’re capable, until you try–in second life or real life.

The feeling of accomplishment with my flickr led me to my next card in the major arcana–the chariot. “The Chariot card is connected to your natural drive and determination, and can indicate an upcoming victory. This card reminds you that your greatest successes won’t come through limited thinking — when you combine the knowledge of your mind with that of your heart and spirit, you are an unstoppable force.” It’s true. If you keeping going and never let your determination falter, you will succeed. I hope after reading this point you go out in second life or real life with a fiery drive to get to your goals–whatever they may be.
