I’ve had a whirl wind of a week with a lot of surprises. First and foremost, I’d like to thank Utopia for adding me to their bloggers group. I was completely taken by surprise and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity. I hope that I can make Utopia@Design proud. Again, thank you so much for adding me to your blogging family.
Okay, now I have to talk about Collabor88’s birthday bash! As many know, I absolutely adore C88. I’ve been having a love affair with this event, since I started blogging. I look forward to the birthday bash every year. It remains to be one of my favorite events on the grid.
So it is my pleasure to say, this round is ridiculously fabulous. I should just hand over the designers my wallet now. There’s just so many wonderful items that I will be blogging this event a bit this month, but some of my favorite items are from this event. Every year, I find myself wearing things over and over again from the birthday round, so it really isn’t an event to be missed.
The picture above was inspired by Eliavah’s flower hairpin and dress. You can find this beautiful dress at Collabor88. The hairpin is available at Okinawa Summer event. This beautiful pin is called nightbloom. Her dress at collabor88 goes by the name Rafflesia. It’s really lovely. I really wanted to be an elf for a day in this cute little dress. I felt so soft and feminine in this piece. The Okinawa summer event runs until the 31st and you can find this wonderful hairpin there. I have to say that I really love this hairpin and I’m probably going to use it in my hair for another outfit. It’s just so pretty and … I am a sucker for a nice flower. My shoes are at Collabor88. They’re by Pure Poison and they’re called Haley sandals. I really love gladiator type sandals. I have been hoping for awhile that someone would make sandals like these. I will be using these again….shamelessly. I bought sandals like these so long ago, but I can no longer wear them, since they were made pre-mesh, so I was very very very happy to see these. I won’t stop gushing about them–and again you can find these at C88.
Moving right along, there’s so many items in this picture that it deserves two paragraphs…or more :D. My ears are fantasy elf ears and they’re from mandala. I can’t recommend them enough to people. They remain to be some of my favorite items that I use. You can find them at the mainstore. Let’s talk hair for a second. Can we just give little bones a round of applause for her work. If she makes hair, I’m going to buy it. I just hand over my cash willingly and happily. This hair is also available at Collabor88 and is called king. It comes with a styling hud. I have to say styling huds are one of my favorite things that designers create. It gives customers options, when it comes to styling and personal preference. Now onto another company that I use all the time. I’m addicted to them and I have been, since I started. blogging.
On the bottom of the picture, there is an ice cream cone filled with flowers. This is by the wonderful ++half deer++. It’s an older release, but… I really love this item, so we’re including it. It has the appropriate name of Ice Cream flowers. I just want to wear this with every outfit. It’s so dreamy! BUT, the pink and purple crystals in the background, those ARE from this round of collabor88 and.. by …you guessed it–half deer. They go by the name dreamsugar crystal. I knew right away that these deserved to be in a fantasy picture. There’s a bug at the bottom of my screen. It’s from Azoury and called endless butterfly. There are rigged and non rigged versions included. My carriage is from {anc}. Just like half deer, I have so many items from {anc}. I happily pay this company for their products. Putting {anc} together in a photo always creates something truly special. And yes, I’m totally gushing about them. I make no apologies. Totally adore them. This iron carriage can be found at Collabor88 as well.
The flowers are by {anc} and the grass is by Hayabusa Design. I really love grass that sways, like it’s blowing in the wind. Again, {anc} created these star flakes. they’re animated and gorgeous. I found them in my inventory and it’s the first time that I’ve used them. I’m going to use these again too. They just feel special. Mishmish made a baby winged unicorn awhile ago. It’s so cute though. I had to use it. My unicorn is a pet and meant to be worn, but I stole a moment to include her in this picture.
To close this blog, I want to talk about the inspiration for this picture. Really, my inspiration came from {anc}’s carriage and Half Deer’s crystals. They both seemed like something out of a fairy tale. So I knew right away that The Magician was the card for this series. As I started to edit this picture, it became obvious which card the picture should represent. There was just something magical about it. The Magician card in the major arcana means that “the revelations [in your life} are best applied to the pragmatic and physical aspects, rather then the ephemeral or theoretical.” This is so incredibly significant for me. Some times you go through life and things don’t make sense. Then, life gives you the chance to understand those confusing moments in a practical way–making sense of life.
I’ve made a lot of choices in my life, which turned out to be the right answer for me. Sometimes we have to wander to understand where we are going–or need to go. I’m thankful for my path–with all the smiles and tears. Like that one quote by lady gaga, I like the good days and the bad days, because it means that I’m alive. We make sense of it, when it matters.
