I know it’s early for another blog, but what can I say? There’s so much good stuff out right now. I just had to do another post…… you know to validate all my shopping. Seriously, the grid has been hopping with events. It’s a little late in the evening… very late, so this post will be a little short.

Some may have noticed links to music, I include them because music is part of blogging for me. It’s insanely relaxing to blog with music…and I like sharing. I have been on a very big hip hop/R&B kick for the last week or so. In the area that I grew up in, this genre of music was really popular. And I’ve been spending time in real life with some long time friends. We busted out the music and partied with BBQ, one very sunny day. This song reminds me of that weekend.

Now, for my title, it’s still my tarot card series. This picture is inspired by the lovers card. I was also inspired by….cough..cough…cough… The Red Light District event—-not to mention a few other events. But, I have to mention those events, because they were so good. I’m just going to blabber away where everything is from because there are so many of them.

To begin, my shorts are from Eliavah. I found them at equal10, which is a fairly new event. I’ve been to it a few times and I have to say it. I kind of love it. So definitely go to Equal10 and check out Eliavah’s merchandise. Just Because created this tube top with an option of having a ruffle or without, which was perfect for this outfit. The shoes are from Vale Koer which is now out along with the tube top at Collabor88. Now moving along to the male model, he is wearing an outfit by Gabriel at TMD, to include the shirt and pants. His necklace is from Real Evil Industries. I’ve never heard of this company, until now, it’s called Zoom, which created his glasses. His hair is from Doux. It’s called Troy and now on sale at Man Cave.

And finally, the furniture is next. The bed is on sale at The Red Light District and it’s by Krescendo. The lights are from Ariskea and the chair is by second spaces. You can find the chair, and lights at Collabor88–and my tube top. Last, but certainly not least, my backdrop came from a new company called House of Shade, which is working with foxcity. Speaking of which, my pose is from Foxcity.  I highly recommend every item, and event listed.

Whew… that’s a lot of stuff for one post. Thank you, if you’re still reading this. I know it’s a lot of events, but there are some really great things out for sale and a lot of wonderful events. Finally..finally finally, this quote is so meaningful to me. I agree so completely. Love. I could say a lot of things about love, but I do need to end this blog in a reasonable amount of time. For me, it shapes my entire world. My whole reason for being here is to love. Love gives us life, honey. And without it, there would be a world of darkness. It’s wonderful to give and receive love in all its lovely forms. So love each other harder. And if you hate someone, love them enough not to do harm. Love is a wonderful emotion and it makes the world go round.

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Romp. This round is pretty great. However, I do wish that more clothes and items were geared towards men. But I’m always wanting more items for men. Girls have all the fun. It’s so not fair. I know …I know.. I know, but you’re a girl!! So? I still want options for everyone to enjoy. 🙂

Anyway, I chose this quote because I totally agree with it. I think the most seductive people seem to be those who have no idea. It’s always the way! There’s something so alluring about a mask, and a neon dark lit room. I know that it just screams seduction or at least it does for me.

Now onto the title of this post, the moon is another major arcana card in the Tarot deck. It’s a card that I get a lot, in readings. It represents hidden facts, jealousy, deception. This card is connected to the night. I always think seduction happens at night—why…. I have no idea. But anyway, that’s enough about this card, lets talk about Romp.

Every time I go to Romp, I always find items that make me feel a bit hawt. The bed, corset, cuffs, and shoes are all from this wonderful event. This is definitely one of my favorite outfits. And it came from this event. breathe created my shoes. My corset was a collaboration between Altair and [CX]. The bed is by Dictatorship and it’s called contempo. I really do like this company. They do run on the expensive side, but some of my favorite furniture comes from this company. The bed in the picture is currently available at Romp.

Speaking of pictures, I felt very inspired by Nicki Minaj and her videos for this one. I think they are insanely creative, so there are links to some of her music with this post. I love taking pictures and listening to music. I think music and art go hand in hand. It adds to my creativity and sets a mood for the pictures. I had a lot of fun creating this picture.

I thoroughly enjoy taking pictures. I would never be able to take these photos without the help of the designers who spend hours of learning how to make their creations. Thank you so much for allowing me to be creative. Without you, my photos would not exist. I really do appreciate all of their hard work. So a big thank you!!

Also, to change the subject a bit, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!! I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday.

My next blog post will feature Collabor88. I’m sorry that my post is a little late. It is coming soon. I promise. Real life has been super busy lately. BUT I’ll be around a bit more soon.

It’s a new year, which means a lot of people are making resolutions to get fit and moving. Collabor88 was no stranger to this theme. As a result, designers made all kinds of goodies like yoga pants, sports bras, and even exercise equipment.Once you leave this event, you’ll have everything you need to get inspired for a little fitness program of your own.

Generally, I don’t make too many resolutions myself. I’d like to move a little more like everyone else. The only wish I have for the new year is to be healthier, happier, and kinder. I’d like to love a bit more and show more compassion towards others. I’d like to give to the world–what I need in return. I guess….. I’d like to be a better version of myself. I think lots of people wish that too. Now contemplating all those things, I do have resolutions.

Speaking of  fitness, I felt inspired, so I made an exercise scene of my own for this photo. I found the weights, exercise ball, and yoga mat at Collabor88. The yoga mat comes with a ton of poses. Kalopsia made all of these items. I love this store and I have so many things from them. I always go back to them for those little things that make a home. I can’t gush over them enough. The yoga mat comes with nine different textures: wine, purple, charcoal, pizza, green, beige, soul, pink, and blue. The exercise ball also has texture options of green, blue, and lemon. There’s even a cute little bag available, which says don’t sweat sparkle (not featured in the above photo). I would highly recommend checking them out.

Then, I went to Kustom9 with one of my good friends. We found this adorable workout set from Pumpkin, which is another one of my favorite companies. I have so many pieces from them. I’m happy to see them participating in events. The shirt is called a layered crop top tee. It’s on sale in gray, gray with a barbie written on it, green, black with the logo for thrasher magazine, and plain black. There’s a choice of gray, pink, red, green, orange and gray leaf print, and plain black.  I’m wearing the gray shirt with the Barbie print and pink sweatpants. I had so much fun. I really enjoyed the yoga poses, decorating, and dressing up for this picture.I hope that you find something that intrigues or inspires you. Whew, I’m back after a very long and much needed break. I took some time with family and friends. I partied way too hard and I slept even longer. BUT, I’m BACK! I’ve had some time to reflect on this past year. I’ve come a long way in blogging and taking pictures. I’ve gained some awesome followers too. I’m thankful for each and every like and follow. I think it’s incredible, when other people take a liking to my blog. I hope that I can inspire and help those who read my articles, while I take this blogging journey.

Speaking of the journey ahead, we’re in a New Year, which means New Year’s resolutions. I’ve made a few of my own.  I hope to grow as a blogger and photographer. I also wish for a peaceful mind and a peaceful life. Sometimes it can get hectic. I know the past few weeks have been a blur of events. Some were memorable and some will be forgotten. What remains the same is me. I’m still here.

This past year, it was a whirlwind of events. I had numerous doctor’s appointments. I had set backs. I smiled. I cried. I even reconnected with old friends. Now, I’m in the mind set to make goals for myself–however big or small in all worlds. I hope all of you find your happy place in 2017. Life is so incredibly precious. We all should take moments to find joy, wherever we can. For me, it means letting resentments go. Then, according to Buddha, I’ll find my own peace and happy place.

Okay, okay, okay, I’m done with reflecting on the past year. I know you want to get to the goods….what I’m wearing and who I’m wearing.We should really talk about the new changes across the grid. I’m talking about Bento. Ohhh Bento, you put my panties in a bunch. I was so stressed out about you. BUT, it was all for nothing. I proclaimed to friends. I wouldn’t get a Bento head. I ranted and raved about having to make a shape, because I’m stubborn and refuse to buy a shape. For those who don’t know Bento heads have the capability of being edited. You get the seamless look of mesh, while having individuality–which so many residents crave. Alas, I caved. I went into those stores and bought one, after weeks of fretting about which one to buy.

Which head did you buy Vi? Well, I bought the lovely Simone head from LeLutka. Now, now, now, I hear the crowds in the back gasping in shock. WHAT? You bought a LeLutka head? Yes, I did. However, I’ve been a fan of Lelutka and Catwa for a very long time. Lelutka worked with my previous shape a little better. So I decided to go back to an oldie, but a goodie…..LeLutka. The hud is user friendly. It works with any makeup for any of their previous LeLutka mesh heads, which meant I could go back to some of my favorite makeup. Yayyyyy Izzies! Along with makeup, I can now do a few facial movements, which are a little smoother than Catwa’s–in my opinion. The head is 5,000L, but comes with all the animations.

Then, there’s the ease of their Hud. It comes with animations, scalp removal, teeth, face light, eyeshadow, lipstick, and too many other features to mention. To learn more about what the hud includes, you can visit this website LeLutka Bento Head Info Site

Finally, I also broke down and bought the Bento hands, after my skin company released appliers. I wasn’t ready to give up my favorite skin. Thankfully, many skin companies are releasing skin appliers, which are used with the Omega hud. At first, it was a little hard to find, but I found it on the sign for the Bento Hands. The wonderful part is that the Omega hud is inexpensive–at 99L. You wear the omega hud and skin applier at the same time–and just click on the skin applier. Then voila, you’re hands will match.You can find the Omega Hud in the Vista Store 

When you buy the hands, it’s really important to buy the AO as well. The Bento hands work with the AO. Otherwise, it looks a little funny. I purchased the Bento Prohands from Vista. I also bought the Miriam AO, which is sold separately. The hands are 999L and the AO is 1,999L. It’s seems kind of pricey. However, the AO comes with a test hud, which includes animations like making a heart with your hands, taking selfies (it comes with a phone) and cough cough….giving someone the bird–and I don’t mean doves. Okay, this about covers everything bento related.

I’d also like to make a quick note that Bento hands require Bento poses. I found this pose at Kiss Me Poses A lot of pose makers are starting to create poses for these hands. There are a few floating around on the market place. I found this store on the MP.

Before I forget, I want to mention my hair and makeup. My hair is from Doux, which is a branch of L’Etre. I bought my makeup at Studio Exposure called Love Me Baby Eyes and Lips Collection. Whew, what a week….and it’s only Monday. There’s an audible sigh coming from me with that whole first sentence. So my blog is a little late. I meant to blog. I swear. BUT, my computer had other plans–mainly an annoying update. It had the effect of making my FPS really slow. So my pictures weren’t the greatest. As a result, I waited to blog. I fixed the problem. I had help though from some really cool people inworld. Thank you by the way, you wonderful souls out there.

Okay enough about my computer drama. I know what you want……clothes. Or at least, you should. I want clothes. Has this tangent gone on long enough? I think it has. The mask in the picture comes from the Kink monthly event. A collaboration between Dura and {MK} created this wonderful mask. Then, I headed over to Uber and found this really sexy body suit and skirt. I also found this fantastic hair

The hair is so great that it deserves its own paragraph. At Uber, little bones is selling hair that comes with animations. You can FLIP your hair and place it. I absolutely love and adore this feature. I keep playing with it. I look forward to going to clubs and using the animations with my hud. It’s different and neat. I think a lot of people are going to love it.

Now on to the quote above…. I love masks. I buy them all the time. I like wearing them. I like the idea of being hidden. There’s something metaphorical too about wearing a mask in SL. There’s also a bit of magic in second life. Sure, it can be difficult at times. But there’s good, if you look for it. I thought it was fitting.

Hello my lovely readers! I’ve had such a busy week. Life never seems to slow down. It only gets quicker over time. Speaking of time, this month flew by in a flash. There have been so many events.

Before I get into the fun of shopping on the grid, I want to talk a little bit about my quote. I think the hardest thing in life is acceptance. Life never goes as anyone plans. I’ve had to accept many things over time and my expectations in life have sometimes been fulfilled–but other times…not so much. Everyone has something they expect in life and everyone has something to accept. Michael J. Fox got this quote so right–and it will leave me thinking about it–even after this post.

To be happy, for me, I have to learn to accept the things that can not be changed. I also work on not letting my expectation effect me. If you never expect anything from anyone, they will never disappoint you. This is so much easier to read than to accept. Okay, this is my  Yoda wisdom for today.

Now, for the fun stuff, I’m talking about shopping. Kustom9 has this really pretty hair from Beusy. It also comes with a detachable headband. ISON made this gorgeous dress for Collabor88’s birthday bash. LaGyo created my nose ring and mouth piece for C88’s event as well. I adore it and I’m in love. You only have a little while though, because Collabor88 will only be open a bit longer–until it’s next round on the 8th of September.

I’ve been looking forward to writing this blog for so many reasons. For one, it meant that I was well enough to sit at a computer without having to take breaks. Another reason, I had the best experience in SL out of the entire time here. I have so much to talk about in this post. So lets get started, shall we….

A few weeks ago, I took a journey in participating in an auction for Pulse. I won a bid and I was princess for a day in Collabor88’s royal kingdom. I had a princess chair and crown. I went with my best friend inworld. I danced. I shopped. I had a ball. I met a few people. I was shocked at their kindness towards me. I was in awe. It may not be something that ever happens to me again in second life and I’m okay with that. It was a wonderful experience. I have no complaints. I only have admiration for the owners of the event and the creators of the merchandise. I saw designers setting up and getting ready for the big day. I felt like a fly on the wall and I couldn’t believe it.

I want to discuss why I donated and why it has been such a presence in my blog lately. In my real life, the pictures of those effected, I saw as my family, friends, and loved ones-virtual and those who I hug in my real life. I felt compelled to give back in the only way that I can right now–which means a donation. I would have given that money either way. I didn’t expect anything in return, but I decided to bid. I participated to help others, but also to shine a bright spot in my life and the life of my friend. It cheered us up. After seeing the news, one can feel so sad. BUT, people were kind at C88. I think even in a virtual world the smallest kindness can go a long way.

Despite anything you ever read about in second life, I always hold out the hope that kindness can be found in a virtual world and real life. I saw that hope, when I attended the Collabor88 birthday bash. I’m so thankful that C88 has brought that happiness to many others. Thank you creators and designers for giving my friend and I a second life dream come true. Thank you for the hours you spend making beautiful things–for the rest of us to enjoy. We take it for granted sometimes, but without you, second life would not be the creative place that it is.

Woodland Pixie

 

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a great start to the new year! One of my favorite movies is Hope Floats, and there’s a great quote in it about life. “Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts.” Once you get past the scary beginning, I hope the middle of the year has all the good things in life.

Now on to my picture, it’s  a little bit different from what I usually post. I’m crying, and wearing a hair accessory. My hair is white. Is this a trend? Why is she out in a fall setting right after the holidays? I will probably go back to black hair or change it. My hair color changes with the wind sometimes. For right now, I want to be a little different.

I went to the chapter 4 event, which I usually don’t buy anything there. However, I saw this head accessory from Lode. It’s called Iris and available as a gacha. I took a chance and won it in yellow, but yellow really isn’t my favorite color. So I tried again. I was lucky and won it in red. I have many, many, many hair accessories from Lode. They always do an amazing job. I have to tip my hat to them for always making me feel pretty.

Speaking of pretty, I walked over to see this half pulled up hair from Pr!tty. It was adorable. So I tried my luck again with a gacha and I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t usually like white hair, but this really makes my skin pop.

As soon as I put the hair and accessory on, it reminded me of a woodland fairy. I found this wonderful autumn sim called Pandora Box of Dreams. I put on a dress, which was hidden in the back of my closet and headed over to my new found sim.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit blue. There are times in everyone’s life that are difficult–where nothing goes right. I  was having one of those moments. So I let my life be seen in art–which I rarely ever do. Despite all of that, I still have hope that things will get better. So I decided to make it light around me–with very happy colors.

I hope you all get a chance to visit the Chapter 4. There are some great finds this round. And remember, if you’re having a tough time, it will pass. Now, I really should take my own advice.

Hope

This post was meant to be written ohhh about a week ago, but the holiday season took me by storm. Some may have seen me online, but alas I was probably wrapping a gift or baking a batch of cookies last minute–to help me get into that Christmas spirit.

I named this post hope, because despite all the bad in the world……I still have hope for a more peaceful world and a better New Year. I think hope is part of feeling festive this time of year–hope for the future, hope for ourselves, the planet, and for people in general. I will hold onto that feeling no matter how small–even a small lint of hope is enough to hold onto.

So today is the last day for Christmas on 34th street. I bought this lovely dress from that event–from Moon Amore. It’s one of my favorite places to get something cute and a little bit different. They have great clothes for photos or every day wear. Hopefully I can finish this post in time, but if not…..you can probably find these great finds at the main store in a few days time.

When I put this dress on, I had to add some white hair and go somewhere snowy. I felt like a princess transformed by the winter bliss of the beautiful cold snow. I felt inspired….so…thank you Moon Amore for being my muse. Sometimes clothes can really help to set the scene. Would you agree?

Unit next year……I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and try to stay safe. You could be the most important person in someone’s future. You never know who you’re supposed to be until you get there. So drink responsibly, be a designated driver, stop someone from drinking too much….you never know who will thank you for it.
