Melting in the Heat

Whew, it is HAWT outside. I truly believe that.. if i could have melted… I probably would have this past week. It seems we are all feeling the heat. The weather totally knocked me out last week. The temperatures lowered. And I feel like a person again…not on fire. This past week, I felt pretty miserable from the heat like so many. Thankfully, in my real life, my animals kept me really great company. I was incredibly lucky to have them. So my pets kind of inspired this picture–chilling with ice cream and my best friend by my side. Animals are awesome like that.

Which leads me to the next topic, the adorable wolf, decor, and fantastic summer clothes, I must talk about it all. There are a TON of items in this picture. As I was writing down all my credits in a notecard, I realized that… I may just need to mention briefly the events. Most of the items featured above are from Collabor88 and the latest round at the Epiphany. I have to say.. I really adore this outfit. I don’t want to take it off. This cute little romper by Aleutia, hair from monso, earrings from Max Gossamer, glasses by fetch are all from Collabor88. My decor comes from so many wonderful companies: Ice cream and inner tube from Dahlia, cat bag and gun from Tentacio, gloves from foxwood, and way too many to list in this paragraph. As I melted from heat in real life, I really just wanted to be by the beach with an ice cream cone, a water gun.. and may be a furry friend by my side. July has been the month where I haven’t been online much. I am going to have more time, since some things in my real life have slowed down. I had family that had an adoption go through. So I’ve spent some nights talking to family and sharing pictures of the little guy. We’re all thrilled. But now, I can sit down relax and kind of get into the groove of blogging again. So I’m here!! I did not quit. I promise!! I’ve been away from blogging for a little while. I know that it has been awhile. I needed to step away and do some things in real life. I have a very good friend who gave birth and I have other family adopting. And I had a close friend whose father landed in ICU.  It has been a very emotional summer and roller coaster. That is definitely for sure.

I want to say it feels so so so good to sit down behind my pc and be able to blog, after such a difficult…happy few weeks. Life can really be so so busy and complicated.. and well just beautiful at times. I took time to be there for loved ones and wait for calls… and spend late nights with friends in real life. Social media is an amazing tool and helps me to stay connected in my real life, but it also means that at times.. I do become busy with people that I have known over the years.

When I finally sat down behind my Pc to create a picture, I knew that summer was just the ticket. I really could use a moment to relax. I’ve had a very long summer. So I did what any person stressed out would do. I created a beach on my land of course. I had never built a beach so it was definitely a learning experience. I was so confused at first, BUT in the end.. by golly I got it!!! It’s really fun to learn new things, even if it is virtually.

To make this beautiful scene with me bathing in the sun, I went to my go to designer… Eliavah. She made this super super super sexy outfit. It’s called Star Dancer Attire. There are a ton of hues to pick from. And this WIG… this wonderful sexy flirty wispy ..romantic hairdo is from Exile. You can find it at this latest round of Collabor88. My chair is from soy, which you can also find at Collabor88. I really like this lounge chair. The texture is gorgeous. And it’s the perfect addiction to any summer home. My cute little animesh crab is from MishMish. I think it’s super cute. It moves back and forth, smiling away. MishMish always makes the cutest items. I may be just a tad bit addicted. My gorgeous bag is from pilot, which holds all the necessary accessories. My little beach ball, there in the background is from Kata0nik. It really does help to make any beach pop. Upside down Christmas

 

I like to turn things upside down, to watch pictures and situations from another perspective. Ursus Wehrli

As the year comes to a close, many people find themselves looking back in the past. Maybe sometimes, they even see things with new eyes. And I am no exception. I’ve been looking at things differently too.

I’ve been a little obsessed with pictures that can be flipped upside down and viewed as another picture–in another angle. A long time ago, when I was in grade school, I had a teacher put a picture in front of the class and ask… “What do you see in this picture?” Many of us saw a witch, but many people saw another picture, yet both answers were correct. Even this week, I looked at a rock near a pond, but when the picture was flipped upside down, it didn’t look like a rock near a pond. I also googled upside down Christmas trees (who knew this was an actual thing!). This all started my own little project that I’ve been working on for about a week.

Since I was on a kick about upside down pictures, I decided to create my own. Many may see everything falling towards the ceiling, but yet if you flip it right side up…… You may see a girl leaping through the air and about to jump on ….someone, kicking things out of the way–perhaps a loved one being greeted at the door. It’s all about perspective. It’s how we interpret the world around us that truly matters. It’s how we see situations that happen to us. Our view may be entirely different than how others see things. I think that’s an important part of second life–how we view things that happen to us….vs. how others see things. It truly makes a difference. After a year has passed, we have new eyes and a new perspective on the events that passed.

This past year, I’ve had amazing experiences inworld, but I have battled demons in real life. Life is a beautiful thing, because it is always changing. Second life and real life move in cycles. Meaning… demons will be silenced. Amazing experiences come to an end–and then there are only new beginnings. There will be new people and new opportunities.

Despite the hope of the future though, there’s always the shadow of the past to contend with. It can leave bitterness in its wake. Bitterness can be accompanied with fear. It’s like moving to take a step, but putting your foot right back where it was. Fear can stop you literally in your tracks. Bitterness can make you turn away from new people, opportunities, and experiences. I think that’s one of the  hardest things in life, not letting negative emotions rule you. We all have to find ways to overcome the past. There’s no one right or wrong answer. Everything comes in time. The thing about time is that it’s always moving forward… never backwards. And we all will move forward one way or another, so why not silence that fear and bitterness—replace it with hope. We hope for a better tomorrow, because there are bound to be more good moments ahead of us.

So for 2019, we should leave the fear and bitterness behind us, lets drink to hope and love instead. We should move forward to the days ahead of us, because in the end…. time is precious. Lets not waste it on negative emotions, lets party and celebrate all the good things and hopeful new beginnings.

And that girl in the photo falling and yet leaping for a loved one–both are right. Holidays never go as they are “suppose” to. It always leaves us grasping for more into a free fall, yet we’re always grounded by the people… or even furry little animals that love us. Toast to love and hope this New Years. The best part of any story is always love and hope.

The Moon

She grew into her horns, never denying her inner most demons. Now shown to the world, her darkest parts. Her eyes glazed over, all color stripped away. Her eyes almost translucent. Being fearful of all her darkness consuming her, changing her, warping her outer exterior, She felt the air leave her lungs. The room becoming smaller. Her eyes widen watching the lights flowing out of her hands. A relief shown on her face, she knew light was part of her and she was more than just darkness. The witch had not won her being. She was still the same person despite all of her light shown to the world–both light and dark. Determined, she would not the let the darkness, evil, and inner demons win, even on all hollows eve.

“I am made of both light and darkness. I am more than the darkness that resides inside my soul.” And on she fights every day with her curse.

So as some may have noticed, I sometimes include a little story with my pictures. I’ve done that here. I felt so inspired by this picture, like a story was building along with my set. So I included one.

I’m not going to make this blog, since I’m still recovering a bit from surgery. But I want to say that Hair Fair is still going on strong. It ends this Sunday though, so you’ll have to hurry to get those last wigs. My hair is by Eliavah and available at hair fair. I really do like this hair. For my lelutka head, I had to wear the hour glass version and tweak my shape, but I did get it to fit. I’m really glad too, because this hair is super hawt. I’ll be wearing it again, that’s for sure. And I highly recommend this round. Salem is also insane. I bought so so so much stuff from this latest round. In the spirit of Tarot Cards Major Arcana, I am naming this post the moon. This card in the upright position can represent fear. What’s scarier than the things that go bump in the night and Halloween is all about the night of scares. So I thought this was the most appropriate name.

Okay just one quick note, my blog posts may be a bit short due my health, but I’m still around, just a bit brief.
