I have been to so many events in the last week, so I have my work cut out for me. So many great designers are putting out some really great items. I decided to jump right in and talk about everything second life shopping for June. And here we go…..

I want to talk about this whole outfit… as well as poses. My awesome poses are by the great Cuca@Designs. It’s the cuppa Joe and Jane poses. You can find this pose set at Flourish. My shirt is by the ever fabulous Eliavah. This shirt is so gorgeous. Eliavah created this beautiful top for Fameshed. My wind swept hair is none other the wonderful Exile and you can find this beautiful swept away wig at Collabor88. My shoes are from Utopia@Design, which is also featured at Fameshed. Can we talk about shoes, I really adore these heels. I’m so going to rock them all the time this summer.  Lets not forget about this really fabulous handbag by Vive Nine. I found this at their mainstore. I recently won a contest for Vive Nine, so I was going through their store and checking out a lot of their clothes and accessories. They are not a store to be missed. They have some great pieces. Check them out. I can see myself using my fab bag all around town. And if you like this gentleman’s shirt.. you have to look no further than Anthem. My quote on forgiveness… well my sweet honey bees, forgiveness is always something that I think about often. We’ve all been on both ends of forgiveness.. giving, or receiving forgiveness. It’s like a cat scratching you, but you forgive the cat and still cuddle, because well you love them. It’s kind of like that. I think about it often because I find it interesting how it’s easy to forgive some situations easier than others. I guess it sparked something that happened to me in rl. I forgave someone for almost breaking something of mine.. that had sentimental value. I was lucky it didn’t break, but … It also made me think that even if they did break it.. I would have still forgiven them, because I care about them–but also for myself. I didn’t want to hold onto that anger. It serves no purpose to hold onto anger. Holding onto anger holds a person back, from feeling happiness in the moment. It prevents us from enjoying the good that could be happening around us. It steals our time.. our happiness.. and our moments.

Sometimes it really is just best to forgive. And then after forgive… you could just go shopping inworld… like I did 😀

Apocalypse Of The Heart

In my last post, I didn’t write very much. I’ve been a little bit sick in my real life and I’ve been having to sort of take one day at a time. I have to say though.. I do feel a lot better than a few days ago. Sometimes meds can just make a person feel really sick. Enough about me though, lets talk about this back drop.

This backdrop and scene represents exactly how I feel sometimes. Everything is in shambles. All the light in the world turns black and bleak. It becomes this apocalypse of nothingness of the heart. There’s this metaphorical death, when time seems to pass and things change. It can be really sad at times. I also linked a song with a very powerful message of strength.. so when you think that everything is in shambles, just remember you are not alone in the world, and you are much stronger than you think. Just hold on for another day.

It may seem odd to have balloons and confetti, but I have a good reason for the pity party. Sometimes you have to drown in the emotion and feel everything, before you can start to heal. It becomes a pity party. BUT, I think it’s important to let your friends, family, etc pull you out of the sad party of one, giving you a bit of air to breathe. So if you feel the need to wallow, do it. Just remember, there’s more than sadness in all worlds and let people pull you out of the sadness. In my own heartbreak over the years, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve gone through a few lessons too. Yet, I always find the joy in life, eventually.

The thing with an apocalypse is that you can start over. With every death, there is a new beginning–or at least that’s according to my tarot cards. Don’t drown in your sorrow for too long, you may never know what awaits you in the future if you do. I feel the need to end on a light note, because I like a good ending. So you will just have to see a much happier post next time.

They Call Me A Tease

I just want to jump right into all the loveliness in this picture. My friend created this pose and I knew right away…. it’s definitely lustful. It’s by Cuca Designs and available at Whore Couture Fair. My top and shorts are by Eliavah, which you can buy at Kustom9. I really adore this outfit. I always love what Eliavah creates. It’s so cute!! My hair is by foxy and it’s called Sanya. You can find this hair at the latest round of Collabor88. It could easily become one of my favorite go to wigs. It does come with a hat, but you don’t have to wear it. There’s also a style hud. Finally, my boots are from Utopia@Design. And you know I love a good boot. Lately, I’ve had sort of a stressful inworld life. So I have been taking time out for myself. Sometimes it’s nice to just go through flickr or take a pictures, while hiding away from all the noise. This week has definitely been that kind of week. I’m going to keep this blog a bit short, since I have been dealing with insomnia. Lazy Morning

I’ve been quiet lately. And I’m a little late blogging this post. But, I had some living to do. It’s important to remember to enjoy moments and taking them in. Today is a snow filled lazy day. So here I am blogging away and enjoying the picturesque ambiance of silence in the snow. I generally hate snow, but I’ll take my lazy day. So like my day, my picture captures a quiet hopeful morning with breakfast in bed. Of course, I could never create such a picture without the help of designers and their amazing creations.

I’m going to jump right into the thick of it and talk about all those lovely events. Collabor88, Uber, Fameshed, and equal10 are all featured in this lovely picture. My hair is from doux which can be found at equal 10. My shirt came from Uber. My boots are from Uber and by Utopia@Design. The bed, 8 tracks, furniture, food items, and dishes are from collabor88. There are also a few food items from Uber as well. My skirt is from collabor88. The nightstand is from Fameshed. I would go into everyone of these items in detail, but real life is sneaking up on me. Generally, my blogs are a little longer, but I have been dealing with lack of sleep. So my pillow beckons me for a nap. BUT, I do like to add a moral or something important in my blogs. With Thanksgiving coming up around the corner, I wanted to again emphasize the importance of enjoying life. Family can be crazy. Friends can be difficult sometimes. BUT, these people in life are so important. It’s important to take a moment and enjoy the season… find something to be thankful for and cherish it. Every season has its beauty. Don’t let it pass you by.

In the last month, I’ve had nothing but appreciation for the people around me in both worlds. A friend who gives me more time for things inworld, when pain rules the day. A friend that remembers my birthday and does something sweet for me out of the blue inworld. She selflessly gave a gift to a stranger. A friend who dances with me virtually, which brings a smile to my face. Or even a special person that makes me laugh on the hardest of days. Those people … I may not know everything about them and it’s okay not to know everything about them. It’s the kindness in them that I see. I can see their heart and spirit in their being, for me that’s a huge deal. Healing isn’t just medications and physical therapy. Healing can be how we treat one another in times that are hard physically, emotionally, or financially. A smile and helping hand can do so much for someone. Real life brings pain and truly hard days. Grueling days are ahead of me. I will be tested, but it’s nice to log into a space where my spirit is lifted. And this is a thank you and a word of appreciation for all that you do for this stranger. I wouldn’t know what I would do with out you all.

In the spirit of appreciation, I want to share another message. I’ve heard lots of people who don’t give themselves enough credit, thinking they are important. That’s the thing about life, you are important. When you help someone in even the smallest way (opening a door for someone for example), you are important. Your spirit, laughter, friendship, kindness are all important to the world. A person doesn’t have to be bigger than life to be important. Even in a virtual space,, you’re important to others. And also, people will make mistakes, but people are not defined by their mistakes. It’s more important what you do after the mistake was made. We are all on a journey in this life and there will be speed bumps. It’s learning how to ride over them that matters most, and appreciating the people who help you get over those little road blocks.

And one more thing before diving into this month’s shopping. I heard a quote that really hit a chord with me. If you worry about all the bad things, you deny yourself the ability to enjoy all the good things. You miss out on the good that happens around you. It’s really true. Of course, there are going to be bad, awful, and horrible days, but we have to notice the good that surrounds us. For me, it’s the kindness that others have shown me in the past month. My heart would not be as full without you. So thank you to all the friends inworld who have shown me kindness, when I needed it most. ♥

Okay, now I can talk about the fun stuff. Pose Fair is still going on, so if you haven’t picked up some great poses, please head over there. A great friend and creative pose maker created this pose called Thrills pose pack. It’s by Cuca Design. The creator is a dear friend of mine. She just happens to be a really great pose creator. I hope you enjoy her poses, just as much as I do. Next we have my top from Mossu, which I love and adore. It pairs beautifully with the skirt from The Secret Store. The top and skirt are both available at Collabor88. You will have to hurry though, since there’s not much time left. Finally, my boots are a new marketplace release from Utopia@Design. I am a little obsessed with her boots. I can’t lie. I really recommend this designer. The attention to detail is fabulous. The building in the picture is by Nomad and I really really really like this rotunda. It’s probably going to stay up awhile on my land. It was the perfect addition to my creepy graveyard. Finally, lets talk hair, I absolutely love this hair by besom and it’s available at kustom9. I can’t recommend these events enough. I adore them.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

It’s time to talk a little bit about all of the events sweeping the grid. Eliavah made this absolutely adorable outfit. It’s available at The Season’s Story. I do not want to take it off. It’s so warm and cozy.. and cute. Well, I love it, as you can see. I highly recommend it. I think this may be my go to fall outfit. My shoes are by Utopia@Design and available at Fameshed. I paired them with a pair of heart tights from Izzie’s. Then finally, I added some fabulous hair from Tableau Vivant, which is now available at The Event (arcade). And in closing, I want to make a quick mention of the sim that this photo was taken in. Mystic Timbers is holding a Halloween contest with some fantastic prizes. I’ve copied the notecard that’s available at the Mystic Timber’s entrance. You should definitely check it out.

A Mystical Halloween.

With halloween fast approaching we are planning a photo challenge on the Mystic Timbers sim, it will not be a competition, just an expression of work of things that go bump in the night.

At the end, a halloween party will take place, where the picture entrants will be drawn to win random prizes, so no matter what level of pictures you take, you stand the same chance as everyone who enters.

Rules : Simply pictures must be taken on the sim , and be halloween related.

DATE : 24th Sep until 24th October 2018
Draw will take place on Tuesday 30th October 12 Noon SLT. Where DJ Nitah will play, and the draw will be completed.

The Moon

She grew into her horns, never denying her inner most demons. Now shown to the world, her darkest parts. Her eyes glazed over, all color stripped away. Her eyes almost translucent. Being fearful of all her darkness consuming her, changing her, warping her outer exterior, She felt the air leave her lungs. The room becoming smaller. Her eyes widen watching the lights flowing out of her hands. A relief shown on her face, she knew light was part of her and she was more than just darkness. The witch had not won her being. She was still the same person despite all of her light shown to the world–both light and dark. Determined, she would not the let the darkness, evil, and inner demons win, even on all hollows eve.

“I am made of both light and darkness. I am more than the darkness that resides inside my soul.” And on she fights every day with her curse.

So as some may have noticed, I sometimes include a little story with my pictures. I’ve done that here. I felt so inspired by this picture, like a story was building along with my set. So I included one.

I’m not going to make this blog, since I’m still recovering a bit from surgery. But I want to say that Hair Fair is still going on strong. It ends this Sunday though, so you’ll have to hurry to get those last wigs. My hair is by Eliavah and available at hair fair. I really do like this hair. For my lelutka head, I had to wear the hour glass version and tweak my shape, but I did get it to fit. I’m really glad too, because this hair is super hawt. I’ll be wearing it again, that’s for sure. And I highly recommend this round. Salem is also insane. I bought so so so much stuff from this latest round. In the spirit of Tarot Cards Major Arcana, I am naming this post the moon. This card in the upright position can represent fear. What’s scarier than the things that go bump in the night and Halloween is all about the night of scares. So I thought this was the most appropriate name.

Okay just one quick note, my blog posts may be a bit short due my health, but I’m still around, just a bit brief.

Seasons Change

I’ve been trying to catch up with my blog posts. While catching up with my blog posts, I’ve gone through a few really tough moments in both words. It’s hard sometimes to play catch up in any world. Also, when you’re not at your strongest, it seems like the world can see that moment of weakness and play upon it. I hate to think people do that in any world, but I know people do. So in the midst of frustration over playing catch up, I found this quote.

Sometimes you’re going to fail, or be rejected. It’s really hard not to take it personally. Either you body will fail to do what it’s supposed to do. Or maybe you get rejected from a potential job, or even relationship. It’s so incredibly easy to lash out. It’s easy to get angry and upset. It may even be our first reaction to the situation. BUT, the best thing a person can do is vent… get it out of your system to someone you trust. Then, move on emotionally, look at the situation critically and analyze your actions. Can I change my behavior so this doesn’t happen again? Can I look at this situation as a learning experience?

I believe that every experience a person has can ultimately teach us something about ourselves. I’ve seen time and time again people lash out on social media, get angry, and total lose their cool. No matter what happens to you…. no matter what is said to you, no matter what is done to you, there is one thing that will always save you and that is yourself. How you react to any given situation can either doom you or can save you in the future. You get rejected. Thank them for the opportunity and walk away. No good ever comes from lashing out. I once read a Joan Rivers book and she gave me the best advice that I’ve ever received. Don’t get mad or seek revenge on someone in a business situation, because you never know when that person will be your boss one day or vice versus.

I bring all of this up because I’ve had a lot of time to think about failure and rejection. I’ve even dealt with failure and rejection. It’s never fun to deal with those issues but they are always teachable moments. Maybe we have them to humble us. It may even be the match that lights the fire. It drives us to work harder, be more, and push us. I don’t look at failure or rejection as a personal attack on me or my work. I look at it as a learning experience… a chance to improve. When you look at a situation in a different light, the situation changes. A negative can become a positive.

In the past month, I’ve had to go through a huge emotional upheaval. I think all residents can relate to going through things either in second life or real life that plagues the mind. You get this one moment or quote that makes a person stop in their tracks. I had to look at my health and not focus on the difficult road in front of me–future surgeries, physical therapy, and pain. I could focus on all that hardship and focus on it. OR I can look at how it will shape me to be a better person. I can look at everything as an opportunity to feel better. If I spend all my time focusing on the negative, I miss out enjoying all the good parts of life. So perception is everything… How our view of what happens to us or around us impacts our life and even the people around us.

So I don’t want people to fear the winds of change. I don’t want to fear change myself. Rather I’m taking the journey of change…humbled and thankful. I know this blog post is more reflection than blog, but it’s a reminder to me and maybe to others too… keep your chin up and work hard. You will get to where you want to be or destined to be, just keep trying and moving along. You WILL get there. Also if you must seek revenge, I take the advice from beyonce… work harder my friends. I have never regretted working harder…ever. And when possible, work smarter…not harder. That’s it for my wise words of wisdom. And when I say work harder, I don’t mean taking on too many commitments. I mean..take something you love to do and hone your skills. Do something that you enjoy and work hard at it. You will get personal joy and growth over time.

Finally, I’m going to talk about my blog. There are a ton of items featured by events. My shoes are from Cosmopolitan by Utopia@Design. My shirt if from Eliavah and available at the fabulous… Au Lovely event (I would not miss this event). I keep going back and buying things. Also my pants are from the ever fashionable Ison and available at one of my favorite events..Collabor88. I also bought the leaves and dog at Kustom9. The dog is from Black Bantam. The leaves were purchased at Kustom9 from [anc}. The two chairs are from Fri. and sold at Collabor88. The bunnies and squirrels with books are available at The Arcade. The door, pictures, and decor on the stool are from Collabor88. As you can see, there are many many many items from various events. Shopping is wonderful right now and there is no better way to bring in autumn than with a new do, nice clothes, and some fresh furniture. Hey, I had to get a dog in there too. I do love my animals.
