I haven’t been around much in the month of October, unfortunately I have been dealing with medical stuff. Trust me, I would rather be online, but sometimes you just have to take care of real life first. This was definitely one of those cases. BUT, I have a few things that I’d like to blog. Okay so I have been MIA. My birthday was this month and my friends decided to give me a few surprises, since I had an incredibly rough year. It was a welcomed break, during a tough time. I am grateful for friends and family in all worlds.

Sooooo lets get into the deep discussion that is my picture, just kidding it’s not that serious. Collabor88’s theme this month is dreams. At first I was totally at a loss for ideas, but I dug deep for some inspiration and looked at everything those wonderful designers out there created. I couldn’t help feeling like a naughty alice in wonderland with a hint of innocence. There are so so many designers in this picture. Instead of listing all of them in here.. in this paragraph, I will list them down below. The eccentric work leads to the craving for halloween and all things creative. I have to say.. I was loving this round. It was out of the box and a little different. It got my own creative juices flowing in the end. Everything in this photo is from Collabor88.. right down to my hair.

As you can tell, I’m having this wonderful love affair with this real life show, which is soooo inspiring my photos. I’ve had a lot of fun dressing up as these angels lately. I couldn’t do it without some amazing designers…. AND HAIR FAIR!

Ladies and gentleman, lets talk about some HAIR!! So as you know hair fair opened on the 17th. I’ve been sitting on some amazing AMAZING HAIR. So with further ado, lets talk about this new wig of mine. I am currently wearing hair from Chain. And you can definitely find this wig at HAIR FAIR! The company is new to me, but I can tell you that.. I really do adore their hair. I’ve always loved this hairstyle, but I had issues with it from different companies in the past. Maybe my head is just too big.. who knows. BUT.. Chain did it up right. It had a dutch braid on both sides of the head and then cut off by a band, creating a ponytail in the back. My wonderful and amazing dress is from Rowne and my shoes are from Rebel Gal. I love love love this combo.The shoes and dress are both available at.. yup you guessed it Collabor88. And finally my necklaces and earrings are from LaGyo which is available at Collabor88. Omg.. this round is to die for.. Oh my gosh.. I am so in love with C88. I’m hearting them hard right now. If you notice my rings on my fingers. They’re from yummy and you can find them at ..again Collabor88. So hair fair closes on the first of September and collabor88 ends their round on the 7th. So you have to hurry to get your wigs on and hair fair. Please don’t forget HAIR FAIR supports wigs for kids. This is such a great cause. A portion of the proceeds go to this wonderful charity.

New beginnings

 

 

 

 

And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been. Rainer Maria Rilke

The holidays were a whirl wind. They had the ability to sneak up on me, when I least expected it. Before you know it, I was ordering presents, sending out baked goods (made by someone else of course), and wrapping gifts to place under my tree. I blinked right into a new year. Christmas day was a complete blur. New Year’s was a very welcomed new Beginning.

I usually do a year in review. But last year was one of those years.. I have no problem forgetting. It seemed like if it could go wrong, then it did. I had a close friend of mine tell me recently that not all years will be great. Some will be awesome. Some will be rough. Some will be frustrating.. Some will be.. well you get the point. The only thing you can do is fight like hell for happy moments and make the most of them.

I am working hard in real life and in second life to just be happy at the moment. Taking pictures is part of that process, so ..I really enjoyed taking this picture. And I hope others can see that. A few years ago, I always went out for New Years. I really wanted to portray that party scene with this picture. I couldn’t do that without the latest events, which leads me into my next topic…

The pose fair opened and this round seems to be even better than the last, and my favorite.. collabor88 also opened. A friend of mine has some really fun poses for sale. The poses in the picture are from Cuca@Design and the backdrop is from Illuzion, which are all available at the pose fair. My outfit is from collabor88 and the male in the picture is wearing an outfit from TMD event. ANDDDDD… GENUS. We HAVE to talk about the genus head. If you were part of the beta head, before it hit the store for sale, you get the baby face bento head FOR FREE! You just have to go to redelivery and it will be in the folder, to unpack. Okay before I forget this, I want to make a quick note. Recently.. and bear with me, I watched a Taylor Swift concert on Netflix. Say what you will, about her…but her show was a lot of fun to watch. She talked about having a reputation. And there’s been a lot of discussion about reputations (it’s the name of her stadium tour). A reputation is none of our business. People will say things. Work hard. Ignore it. Your friends will know you. Sometimes you just have to focus on yourself and not worry about what is said about you. Work hard. Be good at what you do. People will love you. People will hate you, but how you feel about yourself is way more important. Her performance was just sort of magical… but I have a thing for dancing and singing. I like a good show. And… can someone please make a gold snake microphone.. kind of love that…  Yeah I had to write this article.. because that microphone was awesome. Also, I think it’s always good to have your own experiences with people, before you judge them–but that’s just me. The picture above was inspired by her concert. Oh and… always take anger and put it into something productive♥♥♥ Okay.. now that my thoughts have exploded on this page….  go shopping and buy those awesome things!!

Quick note.. For the best results with the poses, please make sure to take off all huds and turn off all hand controls through the main and the hand hud . The right hand of the pose is suppose to have straight fingers. I tried multiply times with the Firestorm viewer and the only way to get the fingers to straighten was to take off every hud and turn off hand movements. My apologies to Cuca@Designs. I tried turning them off the hand pose through the maitreya hud and the separate hand hud, but it failed. And I did not realize it until the picture was posted.

I’ve been putting off this blog post for a little while. This past week has been stressful inworld for photographers, bloggers, and creators. Flickr is imposing new rules, turning out community upside down. There are some changes going on and I’d like to touch upon a few things.

Many residents are now switching to Instagram over Flickr. Last week, Flickr announced a cap of a 1,000 pictures on free accounts. Residents are now expected to label pictures as screen shots as well, meaning that groups need to change their settings to allow screenshots. And if you link pictures to any form of business, you must be pro to do so, which leads me to my next topic. Many bloggers link their pictures to events inworld, which deals with an exchange of funds. So to be safe, I paid for pro. Other bloggers should consider going pro or to instagram.

As soon as I heard of the changes, I sought out my fellow bloggers, creators, and photographers. Many of them have decided to create accounts on Instagram. I am also now there as well. I am also contemplating starting a tumblr blog as an extension to my blog.

Many may not realize it.. but.. Instagram has very strict rules about nudity and depictions of sex…as well as sex itself. I would highly suggest that residents use Tumblr, if you’re a blogger, photographer, or creator who creates things of the X rated nature, then tumblr is a good option to display such works. I don’t always just  blog pg and g rated material and will let my followers know of any addition to social media platforms to display my work. But for the time being, you can find me on Flickr and Instagram.

In time, things will calm down a bit. Life will return to normal. But for now, we’re all experiencing some changes. It will take time. I want to remind everyone that humor is helpful in those stressful moments.. and… well chocolate.

Normally, I would have blogged Uber by now, but setting up an Instagram account took some getting use to. I know excuses..excuses. But I’m here now!! I swear! And I’m getting into the swing of things once again.

To relieve some stress, I headed over to Uber and Fameshed. A lot of my decor was purchased from both of these events. My entire outfit is from Uber. I saw this wonderful corseted dress by Junbug at Uber. I also found this great eyeshadow by Veechi and hair from Lamb. My boots are also available at Uber. They’re made by Reign. Foxwood created this really great set of furniture. I very rarely buy fatpacks for furniture, but I did pick up the fatpack. It is fast becoming some of my favorite pieces this fall season. I headed over to Fameshed and found the weathered chair, sconce and coat rack from DRD. Before I forget, I also bought a wine cart from peaches and the mirror by Sayo, both are available at uber. Last but not least, the skybox is from Semipiternal. I knew that this skybox was perfect for my dark inspired after sexy Halloween picture.

Most times, I take very clean pictures, but I do enjoy taking pictures of a naughtier nature at times. I love this outfit. It makes me feel soft, yet sexy and bold. I think there is nothing better than being able to express oneself. I’ve seen many people discuss nudity and sex in second life. I don’t shy away from it, yet I embrace it. I walk a very fine line.

Speaking of walking that fine line of sex and nudity. This really hawt pose is by Cuca Designs. You can find this great pose at her mainstore. It’s located on the second floor. I’ve always enjoyed taking femdom inspired pictures. I like the idea of being a woman who is strong and powerful. It’s reclaiming sexuality and strength with no apologies. So often women shy away from their inner goddess within. I don’t believe in hiding it. I never will. So I will let my pictures serve as its own mistress, dancing with my imagination. I’ll capture the moment and let my memory serve to preserve the past.

In closing, I want to say that no matter what you struggle with in any world, you are much stronger than you think This past week has tested me in every possible way. Sometimes the best way to deal with struggle is taking a moment for yourself and doing something that you enjoy. I was reminded this week the importance of taking time for myself, planning visits with friends in that other realms that we call real life.  I hope that if you notice the signs of feeling overly stressed, that you take a moment for yourself. I highly recommend Lost Girl on Netflix and Sabrina.. those were my poisons of choice this past week. Okay enough of that, enjoy shopping and bring a friend along.

Hello everyone!! I hope everyone in the States are planning a fun filled fourth of July. Normally, my blog posts are usually a bit quick, but I had to take some time for myself this past week–one to prepare for the holiday and second I needed rest. So I do apologize for my blog coming a little later in the day, than I intended.

This past week has been a wonderful whirl wind of second life for me. I really couldn’t be any more happier than I am right now. I owe that to the people around me. It’s nice to be able to come into this virtual space on a rough day and have your spirit immediately lifted.

Unfortunately, I do want to reiterate that my health hasn’t been perfect, so blogging has not been at the forefront of my brain. I’ve had to take it easy the last few weeks. I’m still making blog posts, but they’re just a little slower than I’d like them to be. We all do what we can.

BUT, the grid has so many wonderful events from uber to famished.. to even rewind. I know this past round of rewind was great. I wan’t able to blog it quick enough, but it’s also an event to explore. Speaking of Uber and Famished….. The blazer, shorts, corset, and even hair come from uber. My sunglasses and rings are available at Fameshed. I really love all of these items together. Together, they help to create something truly special.

When taking this picture, I felt like a drug lord, so I came up with a little blurb with a backstory. I always think that pictures should convey a story or a feeling. It should make you feel something. If pictures don’t give you any sort of feeling, then I haven’t done my job :D.

I had so much fun during that shoot. In the past, I role played a female gangster.. I had a lot of fun with it, so it’s nice to be able to capture something that I portrayed inworld. Second life provides me with an artistic escape into my own thoughts, desires, and playfulness. So this picture means a lot to me.

Continuing on with that role play inspired picture, I picked The Fool from the tarot card deck to represent this particular gangster fueled picture. Even gangsters have to realize that you can’t fool people all the time. In the end, you will be found out and on the run. Yet in the end, running has to end eventually. So I deemed myself a fool on the run with cash and clothes at hand.

This blog is much later than I ever intended. But it’s not due to a lack of effort. This one photo has a ton of things from events. I’m so excited about this one little photo. My feet really did hit the pavement.

Before I get into all the glorious shopping details, I want to talk a little bit about this quote and the name of the picture. I found this quote which touched a chord with me–especially right now. My whole world relies on me bouncing back and being resilient. Pain will ebb and flow. Sometimes you just have to do what you can on the good days. I thought about resilience, after having a truly difficult week with pain. I’ve always been one to say that I was in pain, but never really how that pain made me feel.

Bouncing back and not focusing on the bad days is so important. I’ve learned that yesterday may have been awful, but today can be better. You can’t focus on yesterday’s pain, when there’s a life to live today. My train of thought really brought me to the concept of resilience. Many of us have had to be resilient to stay strong in a virtual world. Many people bounce back from heart ache, failure, and criticism. There’s a resilience in bouncing back from those things. It’s definitely a skill.

I haven’t been the most resilient person sometimes. I’ve had trouble bouncing back from life’s bumps in the road–which goes for second life too. But in the end, I had the ability to overcome. Life doesn’t really give you a choice. Life is also mean and it will give you that lesson over and over again of resilience–with the rocky path that is life.

Speaking of rocky paths, I picked the picture to represent the world because of so many things. I’m a little touchy when it comes to prosthetics portrayed in second life. Any time I’ve portrayed myself with a piece of me that’s artificial like an arm or leg, I go through something emotionally. It’s more truth in that one picture. It’s one window. One peak to a mask lifted. I don’t normally run around inworld with a prosthetic anything for this reason. BUT.. if there was ever a reason to do it… it was the signs in the universe and this really hard week.

I’m scheduled to have a knee surgery in the very near future. My mother is disabled from a knee surgery that refused to heal correctly. It’s not something that I have told others about. I’m nervous and scared for so many reasons. However, seeing that prosthetic painted beautifully was a hopeful sign. Despite increased difficulty, it gives me hope that something hard can be beautiful in the end. Since this picture represents a big part of my world, there was no other arcana card in the tarot deck suited for this pic—other than the world. This is my world. These are my fears. This is the cause for such emotional upheaval. But you know what… it’s still beautiful–scars and all.

Now to create that beautiful reflection, I went to several events. My skirt came from the Dubai Event. It’s by Legal Insanity and called the Anna skirt. My head piece came from LODE and it’s from shiny shabby. My shirt is from Kustom9 by E.Marie. My legs are from N21 and by DRD. There’s also a gold flower pot in the background by Eliavah and available at Whimsical. As you can see, there are so many great events on the grid. One quick note, I was really hoping to see pashminas, rugs, and jewelry…gold at the Dubai event. I’m hoping to see these items. I have a few pashminas in real life from the middle east and I love them. I hope to buy a couple inworld soon. 😛

Hello my lovely readers! I’ve had such a busy week. Life never seems to slow down. It only gets quicker over time. Speaking of time, this month flew by in a flash. There have been so many events.

Before I get into the fun of shopping on the grid, I want to talk a little bit about my quote. I think the hardest thing in life is acceptance. Life never goes as anyone plans. I’ve had to accept many things over time and my expectations in life have sometimes been fulfilled–but other times…not so much. Everyone has something they expect in life and everyone has something to accept. Michael J. Fox got this quote so right–and it will leave me thinking about it–even after this post.

To be happy, for me, I have to learn to accept the things that can not be changed. I also work on not letting my expectation effect me. If you never expect anything from anyone, they will never disappoint you. This is so much easier to read than to accept. Okay, this is my  Yoda wisdom for today.

Now, for the fun stuff, I’m talking about shopping. Kustom9 has this really pretty hair from Beusy. It also comes with a detachable headband. ISON made this gorgeous dress for Collabor88’s birthday bash. LaGyo created my nose ring and mouth piece for C88’s event as well. I adore it and I’m in love. You only have a little while though, because Collabor88 will only be open a bit longer–until it’s next round on the 8th of September.
